Poor Boys Tire & Automotive

Today I went in not knowing what to expect and man was I met with the most exceptional customer service. Nancy was very kind and gracious and helped me thoroughly with all questions or concerns! The staff was very helpful and insightful on any questions I had! I’d highly recommend them to anyone with any car troubles or needs. Nancy is a great owner and it reflects in the joy and work the staff has. From the bottom of my heart, thank you and I’m excited to be connected for life!!!!

I went to Poor Boys, the other day to get a set of tires for my vehicle. While they offered halfway decent prices on tires, my only reason for choosing this shop was due to how soon they said they could have the tires. (I was looking to get them replaced hopefully the same day) I got to them, and they swapped on the tires. That's when the issues started. Now, I'm aware that sometimes things get lost in communication or that things happen. But while I was waiting in the shop, I felt like it fairly reflects how they manage and run things on a day to day basis. First off, they didn't remove the stickers off any of the tires. While this may not bother some, I like keeping trash and debris out of our environment. So, I pulled them off when I got home. They didn't inflate the tires to the right PSI. One of them tried debating with me that tire psi changes based off the tire and what the tire calls for. However, and I did a bit of research here to confirm this, and make sure I found it on a reputable source. As long as the tire size stays the same, it's recommended to follow the manufacturer recommended psi. Which, when he filled the tires to the manufacturer recommended psi, the TPMS light went off like magic. I also wanted to keep 2 tires and had stated this prior to handing keys over, as well as on the phone. However, the receptionist must not have communicated this, and when I got outside to check the vehicle, I was missing my tires. Last but not least, they didn't even mount and install the tires properly on the vehicle. 2 of my tires have the labed inside of the tire facing the outside. Now, while it may seem like a small thing. This is supposed to be a reputable shop with qualified trained technicians. As per them. In all honesty, this shop feels more like a mom and pop shop where they just try to get the job done and charge book time. I suppose it's a good place to go to while your in a pinch. But if you can afford to wait a day or two, I'd take it to a more reputable shop that doesn't get agitated when you try to have them correct their mistakes. All in all, I am only one person. Who had limited experience and exposure with this shop. Although that one experience is enough for me. Everyone else should take this with a grain of salt. Who knows. Maybe I just caught them all on a bad day. Update- I took the car to another shop. It turns out none of the tires had been balanced correctly. And as they say, photos or it didn't happen.

Brought our friends there to buy a couple used tires for there vehicle. It didn't take to long. They were also nice enough to check our tires and air them up a little as needed. Only thing is I did think of only giving them 4 stars because they did lose one of my caps for my tires lol but I guess I won't subtract a whole star for that. Nice and friendly people there.
