Tucked away on S Hill is the best automotive experience I've had in a long time. The team got me into the shop on appointment in only a couple of days to address a freshly destroyed wheel bearing and hub. They didnt try to upcharge with extra work or waste any time getting to the root of the problem. A very friendly, easy to communicate, no nonsense shop with great bus access that helped me get to and from the shop with ease. After only a day, our problem was fixed and we got our only car back in the blink of an eye. Parts and labor incredibly fair! Couldn't be more pleased with the service of Manito Automotive! Never had a better spot to shop local.. thank you!

Manito Automotive literally came to our rescue and opened up a cancelled appt to handle our alternator repair on the day the shop was closing down for a week's vacation. I was in a panic as my husband had just been released from extensive open heart surgery at Spokane's Heart Institute. If ever we needed a working vehicle, it was now! We were literally running on battery getting jumps from good hearted strangers or leaving the car running while my husband shuffled off to lab appts on his own. Gene took my Friday morning call and we are so grateful for his and his team's efforts to repair our Honda Ridgeline in short order. With a 10am appt, we had our Honda (vaccumed and cleaned inside!) back by 3pm that day. New alternator with battery pumping out voltage well above the 12V threshold! We highly recommend Manito Automotive for their professionalism, expertise, and excellent customer service which provided us essential vehicle repairs and sighs of relief during a very stressful time.

If you live on the south hill in Spokane, I highly recommend this shop. The owner was very helpful and got me get back on the road. I am from cda and doing work on the south hill when my van would not start. The customer I was working for drove me around the hill to try and find a place that could work on my larger box van. we visited several places with no luck till we stopped at Manito automotive. He said he doesn't work on rigs that big but after explaining how much it would cost to have it towed to a place that could do the work, he said he would do it. he stayed late that day diagnosed the problem and ordered the parts. He had it fixed the next morning around 8:30 and I was able to get back to work. The price of repairs was very fair. If you are looking for honest and quality work, I would give them a try!

Gene is amazing! They still have the Spokane small town legacy business running like a champ! Great mechanics and good people. If they can not fix it, they have the know of who can help, if it’s a very specific speciality repair. They have helped me out in the past multiple times and was able to help with a veteran in need. I go to Manito Automotive Techs before anyone else. It’s good to know we still live in a town that has them in it!
