Why I love Stone's German Garage: (not necessarily in this order...) They are very cool and they are musicians. Support the arts. Family business. They do quality work and do it fast and for a great price. I trust them. I just had my BMW in for a look and they didn't do any work, although they gave it a thorough inspection and didn't charge me a dime. Which saved me 7400 plus tax that the dealership said i needed in their fancy, but totally misleading video. What's not to like?

If you have an out of warranty German car in the Seattle area, take it to Stone's. I've been taking my 2016 Audi S7 there for years now and it's always a really positive experience. The owner, Shane, and his team are super knowledgable, honest, kind, and their labor rate is a fraction of any dealership. When I had an issue that was tough to replicate, Eric the shop foreman, went on a lengthy test drive with me so I could demonstrate the problem. The service advisors (shout out Angel and Mariah) are also super knowledgeable and communicative; I always get prompt text updates on where things are at. If you're a car enthusiast, they're also fun to talk with. I'll offer an anecdote that demonstrates Shane's integrity... Several months ago I brought my car in for a transmission service. A while later I noticed my transmission slipping, so I brought it back in. Before the end of that same day, Shane and his team diagnosed the issue, determined they might've agitated a part that was now leaking during the previous transmission service (there's also a chance the part just failed on its own), so they insisted on re-doing the entire transmission service and replacing the broken part for free. I had my car back within 24 hours and it cost me $0 additional. The car repair industry is fraught with dishonestly. German cars can be expensive to service. For my money, Stone's is the best place to go.

We had such a genuinely great experience here. From the start, the team was kind, communicative, and incredibly thorough. At every step, I felt confident that our vehicle was in good, trustworthy hands, which honestly means a lot because I’m not a car person and don’t always understand what’s going on. They took the time to explain things in a way that actually made sense, without ever making me feel talked down to. It’s rare to find a place where you feel this taken care of, both as a customer and knowing your car is being treated with real attention and integrity. The staff is just genuinely kind and helpful across the board, and you can tell they take pride in what they do. Also, it feels really good to support a locally owned, family-run business that clearly cares about their work, their customers, and their team. That shows in everything they do. I truly can’t say enough good things.

I have taken my 2017 VW Jetta to Stone’s German Garage three times, and every visit has been positive. Shane and his team are knowledgeable, trustworthy and reasonably priced. On my latest visit, they correctly diagnosed and replaced a failing window regulator before it could leave the window stuck. Angel at the front desk kept me informed throughout. My Jetta is chugging along fine at high mileage with zero major issues, and I will continue bringing it here for service.

Been going to Stones for many years. They are honest, no up-selling. I maintain my vehicle and it only need things fixed or changed out when it makes sense. Most of the time it's just an oil change. Love that I can drop my car off early in the morning and leave my key in the key drop and they call me in a timely manner. I always recommend them.
