Mosé is clear customers aren't privileged to info about their own vehicle if Mosé doesnt wanna give it. I was the point of contact for my girlfriend's car to get repaired and this shop was suppose to JUST diagnose what was wrong with the car, they didnt do this instead they replaced parts that were new (spark plugs) telling me they were gunked up. I let them know the spark plugs are brand new and if they were gunked up wouldnt there be a deeper problem to diagnose, they only said probably and didnt contact me afterwards. They never called us to tell us they were changing any part they just sent a bill. The paperwork doesnt have any diagnostic codes on it. Maybe it was my mistake by admitting Alicia didnt know anything about cars and asked them to call me. Now we only wanted to know if the car was a waste of money or if it was fixable and we didnt get any answer on if that was the case. When the car was taken by the tow truck the driver side windows was up and cardboard shoved in to keep it up since we knew it was broken. When the car was return there was tape over thus windows, we DID NOT GET ANY COMMUNICATION that the windows fell again or if it broke or if anything else happened. When I called to ask Mosé about it (I did speak to her specifically) she was hostile about me asking why she didnt call us. She said she knew we would t let us do the work. I tried to explain that wasn't the point and she should have just informed us it fell. She proceeded to ask me what I expected of her and said "I'd live to hear this" and in honesty that's when I flipped out on her and yelled. This whole experience has been disheartening knowing a supposably queer women owned business would act like this and couldn't just say "sorry we should have called" especially since we okayed storage of the vehicle outside of the shop. We had no clue if the windows was smashed in when it was outside or it slipped down. She didnt care to explain and made it clear she didnt care to apologize, this shop 100% took advantage of knowing goodwill would pay them 500 for sure and tried to string out someone with no knowledge of cars for more money. My issue was if the car isnt sent this way we should be informed of things, Mosé is clear customers aren't privileged to info about their own vehicle if Mosé doesnt wanna give it.

This was my third visit to Mose Auto and my second time using them for a pre-purchase inspection. Both times they fit me in on short notice and worked with my schedule to make drop off and pick up convenient. They treated me kindly, patiently answered all my questions and gave me the info I needed to make a decision--the first time helping me avoid what would have been a costly mistake and the second time giving me the recommendation to move forward with the vehicle I brought in--and a clear evaluation on what maintenance items the car needs--now and in the near future so that I can budget appropriately for that work. I highly recommend using Mose Auto for this service.

This is my second experience with Mose and I will definitely be back! Their technicians are very knowledgeable and up front about what they think the car needs. For an oil change and air filter replacement, I was in and out in about an hour! If you are waiting, they have a great new sofa and you may get to hang out with the shop cat! I have had squeaky breaks on my 2023 car (weird) and they’ve looked at the brakes twice without charging me to ensure the brake pads are still in good shape. Instead of telling me that I should replace them, they recommended I take it into the dealership since it is still a relatively new car and it may be covered under warranty. I was really impressed with the straightforwardness of that specific interaction. They could have told me the brakes were toast and I needed to fork over hundreds for new brake pads, but they gave me a cost effective interim solution.

I’ll never go to a different garage! Incredibly friendly and kind staff who do a great job. Very transparent and upfront with costs - even my mechanic in my home state Minnesota said their prices were honest and fair. I always feel warm, welcome, and taken care of by Mosé. Mose Auto is the best auto mechanic in South Seattle! The staff is kind, courteous, and always extremely helpful. I really appreciate the time and patience they take to educate and explain car functioning and terminology to folks like me who generally know very little about car maintenance. The pricing is always reasonable, too! You can tell everyone that works here really likes their job and serving their community. As long as they are around, I'll keep bringing my car here without question!
