George's Transmission

I was recommended to George to replace my van’s transmission. At first I was a little put off with his questions about my transmission care over the life of the vehicle because I take really good care of my vehicles. He seemed super knowledgeable and gave me a quote well under what the dealership gave. I paid the deposit and waited for the transmission to arrive. Once it did arrive after a couple weeks he started the work. He called me 2 days in and said the transmission was wrong and needed to order a new one. He said he could put the old transmission back in so I could use it but I had a rental so told him to keep it and wait for the new transmission. He was thankful as this would save him more work. When he completed the work after the second transmission and I went to pick it up, the final cost was ~$1,800 MORE than quoted…unacceptable! He recommended I come back after 1,000 miles for pan and filter service so I called when approaching 1,000 miles and set an appointment. I arrived that day at opening and waited 30 minutes and he did not arrive. I had to leave for work. This wasted my time and the ride I had to arrange. George never called to say he was running late or at all. I called a week later and he said, “oh ya, traffic was bad that day”. No apology, just oh well. I pushed how rude and inconsiderate that was, he then apologized and asked when I could bring it in. I said it’s super inconvenient as it’s my work vehicle and difficult to be without on certain days. He then offered to do the service for free and said to bring it any time, he would squeeze it in. I called on a slow work day to give him a heads up I was going to drop off the vehicle. George told me he didn’t have any “appointments” available for the next few days. That didn’t work for me nor was it squeezing me that he offered. I haven’t been back and don’t recommend. Just all around terrible service.

10 star service!!!! George is One of the best full mechanics that is ever worked on my car. We have brought our car in to two dealerships and other mechanics who never found the problem. George found the problem, got a new frame for the front end, installed affordably and saved me from purchasing a new car. With my business and personal, I’ve had over 50 years of auto service and this truly was one of the best mechanics I have ever found. He’s the only one that will touch my cars from now on and I wish I had found him earlier. I highly recommend George Who can fix anything on a car thank you George. We Highly recommend him!!!.

Had my car towed here when it broke down. George is honest, dependable, and knowledgeable about transmissions, and other car repair issues. He is very gracious and I appreciate his honest opinion.

My transfer case was broken and needed to be replaced. George's Transmission was honest and detailed when communicating the problem with me. And they ended up completing the job ahead of schedule. Strongly recommend George's!

George is the man! Made room for my large truck even though it was not ideal. Gave me a very accurate quote and ran me through exactly what he was planning to do and how it was done. Pointed out some other issues to pay attention to but did not try and do work I wasn't asking for. He even gave me an extra part he had around that I could install myself for free. Could not recommend George's services more.
