Service and communication was excellent. Call and schedule an appointment over using the online appointment tool. I really appreciated the photos they sent showing what was wrong with my car after their diagnosis (included here). Every shop should do this!
View on GoogleAfter a Sunday night encounter with a 6ft long pothole on I-5, I was towed to DTA. I left my keys and a note. They called the next day and replaced two damaged tires by the following day. They were incredibly helpful, super empathetic, knowledgeable, and not pushy at all. I highly recommend and am so glad I found them as my long standing auto shop just changed ownership and I have been looking for a new trustworthy place.

Lori and staff were very responsive and told me to bring the car in right away. Their team was able to diagnose the issue and order the required part. They kept my car safe inside until it was fixed and ready to go. They kept me updated on pricing and the final cost was close to the estimate. Would definitely go there again!
View on GoogleI came for a general tune-up because the car felt less responsive than usual. They inspected spark plugs, air filter, and fuel system. It turned out both the filter and plugs needed replacement due to age. After service, acceleration improved noticeably and engine feels more responsive. They also gave simple maintenance advice for the future without trying to sell extra packages. The process took a few hours but was well managed. Staff were patient and explained everything in an easy way. The car now feels like it regained its normal performance level.

I just had a wonderful experience with Downtown Automotive in Seattle, my car needed a 120,000 miles inspection and some service as I have just bought it, and I was very lucky to have found Downtown Automotive! The ladies at the front desk are extremely helpful and friendly while at the same time highly knowledgeable. The mechanics do an excellent job while being very fast and still completely honest, and the communication is on point. They have called me during the inspection to tell me that several parts were well within limit and don't need replacement, but that it is up to my preference whether they should be replaced, and they gave me all the prices and facts so I could decide. I did not feel ripped off at all, and in the end, I paid exactly for what they did and what we discussed, with their prices being very good! I would definitely recommend Downtown Automotive and I will go there again for any work that is needed on my car.
