I was nervous about bringing my Benz to different auto repair shops (MB dealership prices are extremely high) Southlake European Auto was excellent. They were upfront with what's needed to be done and what can wait. They provide you with a vehicle health report including videos. Derek and his service advisors have great customer service. Update: I've visited a third time and had a similarly excellent experience. The techs were able to take care of the spark plugs, transfer case fluid, and engine air filter for my car. Now the car operates smoothly as if it were new. I'm very happy with the quality of work and customer service. Original Review: I've had outstanding experiences bringing both of my cars here in the last 9 months. The mechanics were able to diagnose my M550i better than two official BMW dealerships before providing recommendations that were sensible and honest. Costs were notably less than dealership quotes and the work was equal if not better. Best of all, interactions with staff always inspired confidence and were customer oriented with clear guidance and friendly dialogue. They even went the extra mile by chatting with me on multiple occasions about long term maintenance, advanced diagnostic information, and general car repair which demonstrated a high level of competence. Thank you to South Lake European and in particular Russell for helping fix my car when it needed it most and delivering a level of customer care that was genuinely impressive.

Personalized service from an expert shop in enthusiast and daily driven European automobiles. My repair order was a little unique - I had some leftover parts from my purchase, so there was confusion about the costs on the initial service. Rather than take to the internet to complain, or worse, just swallow the issue, I gave Brian at South Lake the opportunity to explain the work that was done, justify the work that was suggested, and reconcile the small financial difference that my unique situation required. I am relieved that quality BMW service does not have to be an Eastside requirement. Looking forward to more miles in my M6 thanks to Kayla, Derek, Brian and the entire team at South Lake European.

I brought my Audi in to get the water pump replaced last week. The work was done quickly and thoroughly. South Lake was communicative through the whole process and gave me a very accurate time estimate and ended up coming in under the original cost estimate. I am very selective of who I let touch my car but I would definitely return to this shop they are great!

A few years ago I needed a battery replacement on a different BMW and contacted South Lake European, and the person who helped me was amazing and explained they couldn’t help in the time I needed but gave me tips to ensure whoever I chose didn’t make common mistakes he had seen people do when getting a new battery in a BMW. I was so appreciative, and thought I would definitely use them if needed, so when my other BMW back window failed to go up I reached out to South Lake European. They were quick to get me in and informed that they require a diagnostic review of the car and it would be about 2 hours at $225 per hour, also that they prefer to deal in cash or cashiers check, credit cards or debit would be at a extra 3% charge. The next day I got a quote for the window of $1500 and I remembered I had an extended warranty on the vehicle and they said they could work with the extended warranty company. 3 days went by with no contact so I reached out and asked about the diagnostic service, where I was told they would send it over. First text excluded the diagnostic information, and second came with $5400 of work needed and that the extended warranty would cover roughly $1000. They sent me the information to approve and some of the work was work that was manufacture suggested in the near future. I decided to wait on those and approved the window and front control arm bushings be repaired, which the extended warranty was going to cover, part of one and 100% of the other. Each communication, I was given a new total due, which was less and less my cost, but it was unclear why. The car was there for 17 days, 2 of which was my doing because I wasn’t able to pick it up 30 minutes before they closed. They also would not released the car till the extended warranty send payment, which took a few days even though the car was ready, which I expressed and issue about, and was told it was there policy. When I picked up the car, a receipt was printed that you can hardly read because the printer needed ink. Took the car drove it home and the back window immediately started to grinding and scratch noise when it went up and down. The back seat headrest had a giant grease spot from a hand on it. The window doesn’t aline with the molding and is short compared to the front passengers side window. On the outside the molding was not put back correctly and shifts every time the window goes up or down. I texted the next day and it seemed as if they wanted my warranty company to get involved again, or that I may be responsible for additional cost. This left me feeling uneasy. So I decided not to take the car back and will have it repair a second time elsewhere. They did discount me on the diagnostic service by half, but all the parts were marked up double what they cost. I was extremely disappointed given my initial experience with South Lake European was so positive, and I have 3 BMW’s. But I won’t be using them again, sadly.
