Im not one to leave bad reviews but my situation was extremely upsetting, One of the most unprofessional Inspection services I have ever experienced. If you want someone to take your money and tell you not to buy a car, these are the people to call.... Shady Husband and wife operation. Buying a vehicle private party can be challenging, especially for those that are not mechanically inclined, I was selling a 2005 Lexus LS to an out of state buyer and suggested him to get an inspection done for peace of mind. He ended up going with "Mobile Mechanics Seattle", wouldn't be my first pick but lets keep this unbiased and give them a shot. Inspection time was set, I had an unexpected meeting and was not able to be present during inspection, Which I regret extremely! I was confident in the car passing with flying colors as I had just performed extensive service on the vehicle earlier this year through my trusted repeat mechanic, I spent a lot of money to get this car dialed in pretty good. The inspection was deemed a COMPLETE FAIL, accusing me of lying about services performed, hiding damage, warming up the vehicle prior to inspection, scheduling meetup in the dark, clearing codes and ect.... I can debunk just about everything they stated to my buyer, one by one... - Accusation #1 Lying about services performed: Two of their claims were that the valve cover gaskets and timing belt/water pump was not done. Two different shops performed the service, Valve covers were done with my mechanic and the timing/pump was with the previous owner and is listed on carfax, I find it hard to believe that 2 separate business lied about service performed, anyway their reasoning is that old oil was found around valve covers, yes because when it was fresh we replaced the gaskets... maybe i should have pressure washed the engine bay, but that would probably also cause a red flag so I guess you cant win here. They believe the timing wasn't touched because its hard to see markings around the timing cover from it being removed 2 years ago, i don't know how that is a valid assumption but I will be reaching out to the shop that performed the work for a receipt showing the work done. - Accusation #2 Warming up the engine and scheduling meeting in the evening: I drive this car, I love it, It was selling the next day, I wanted one last day to drive it. The inspection was a last minute decision by the buyer, I had already drove out to work on the vehicle, there is no way I can have it home and cold. Inspection was set for 7:15 pm as I usually get off work at 7, i would've gladly scheduled it earlier in the day if I could, the car is beautiful in the sun. RED FLAGS according to Mobile Mechanics Seattle. Side note I mentioned to the buyer that I had replaced the steering wheel, upon inspection, the mechanic told my buyer that it was probably because it was hit in the front end and the airbag deployed due to an accident... Wouldn't i have just changed the airbag? I changed the steering wheel with a Flawless OEM example from Japan, as they are known to crack and fade, that didn't make any sense. - Accusation #3 Clearing codes: Mechanic stated that there were TONS of codes cleared prior to the inspection.... Yes, 2-3 months ago when the ECU was removed and rebuilt for a common shifting issues these vehicles experience, codes will come up during a job like that, and they will need to be cleared. I can go on and on about their report, roughly 2 things came up on the report that were actual issues, recent things that failed, completely normal for a car this age and they will be fixed. I called the Inspectors Wife who runs the show to clear these things up as I was taken back, tried being polite about it and they hung up on me, I guess it doesn't matter to them, they got payed, less hassle for them to call a 20 year old car a bad buy rather than just doing a proper inspection and not an "Accusation report". Jim came out to my place and did an amazing job on my car. Made some additional recommendations and gave me fair prices on everything. He was responsive, friendly, and helpful. Would recommend to anyone who needed someone to come their place and do work.

I dont know what the guy is talking about being unprofessional. This has been one of the most respectable honest mobile mechanics ive ever had work for me. On time works fast and and everything was fixed to oe specs. Highly recommend these guys for any of your mechanics needs. Jim is very knowledgeable and super professional. He explains everything hes doing before he does it and asks if its what i wanted to do.

If you need any repair done, look no further! Despite Jim being late, he was awesome. He was very communicative and nice. When he arrived, he diagnosed the problem right away and was able to provide me with a cost efficient solution. He even went with me to the auto part store to ensure I got the right products needed to resolve the issue and educated me about various auto topics related to my vehicle. The repair was quick and the price was fair. I will definitely be using his services again.

This guy know his stuff. Jim save me big time when it came down to purchasing a vehicle. Also big time on repair of my radiator, ac compressor and general tuneups and repair. Highly recommend for quality of work and very reasonable. Not out to rip you off like a lot of shops will and do.
