I don’t have enough superlatives for Christian Brothers Auto Mechanics ! I’m an older person who knows nothing about cars but cares deeply about always have a safe car to drive . My car is older but I love it and the team went above and beyond checking out what the problem might be with my vehicle starting issues and showed me the results of multiple tests and then explained things to me in terms I could understand. All of the employees are incredibly helpful, knowledgeable, trustworthy and ethical and the prices are fair and transparent. ( no upselling for services that aren’t needed at the time ) I totally trust their advice and feel at ease that I now have a car mechanic shop to help me in a very positive and non patronizing way . Can’t give them a high enough recommendation !

I was traveling from out of town and trusted the great Google reviews and they were absolutely right. I noticed a dragging sound under my car and found the passenger-side plastic splash guard was barely hanging on. I called around 7:50 a.m., explained I was from out of town, and they told me to come right in. They got me in immediately, reattached the panel, and had me safely back on the road in no time. The best part? They didn't charge me a thing. I was truly floored by their kindness and honesty. Thank you all! You made my summer🌞😎

The wonderful gentlemen and gentlewomen at Christian Brothers always take care of any problems I have promptly and efficiently. I have been coming to them for service since I moved to Richmond about 6 years ago. The work is modestly priced, and they always do their best to make sure that I am well informed and knowledgeable about the work that they do. Any significant work that needs to be done is taken care of swiftly and will care. I've always received 10/10 care and service. Picking my car up is always a true highlight from the wonderful greetings, to the complimentary water and flower. I would strongly recommend for the care, quality, and satisfaction.

They have good customer service which I appreciate but you pay for it. They are VERY high. We got a quote for over $700 to fix a little part in our engine and took it somewhere else and got it fixed for $125. Maybe they are just that much more thorough but previous experience makes me doubt that. We got our breaks replaced at Christian brothers a month prior because they were squeaking and after the break replacement they were still squeaking. They said this can happen but if they are going to charge such high prices I would expect high end service and for them to actually solve all problems (we did tell them breaks still squeaked and they said that can happen depending on the brake material?). I feel like I was robbed on the previous work we had them do and wish we’d shopped around more. It was $178 just to diagnosed the engine issue. We won’t be going back even though the complementary ride was a great perk and everyone we interacted with was very kind. Just a shame we felt like we were being robbed by some very nice people. Update: The owner of the company did reach out to me and offered to fix the squeaky brakes free of charge which I appreciate. I came to mention that but in reading his response just feel like I need to clarify that I’m not lying about it being over $700. He mentioned in the reply that the quote was $248 to fix our issue. On the itemized quote I received it was $165 to identify the problem (I guess tax took it to $178?), $330.36 (pre-tax) to fix/replace the oil pressure sensor where the oil was leaking, $184.91 to clean the oil leak off of the engine, and $58.09 to top off the oil that had leaked. Not sure where the $248 is that the owner is referencing. TLDR: very nice people, very high prices. Hopefully our experience was the outlier.

Incredible customer service. We had just been there the day before when we noticed a headlight was out and our car was making a new noise. The did the repairs complimentary, were very apologetic about missing the headlight being out, gave my wife a rose, and kept up their awesome service transparency.
