I had a minor solo car accident that caused some slight cosmetic damage to my car and quickly was able to secure an appointment at Eric's Car Care. My experience was fine - the customer service from the front office people was great. Very friendly. In terms of the actual work, they did a great job but its a bit of a convoluted process. As Eric's Car Care does not have a body shop, they contract with a third-party and must tow your car to that location. In my case atleast, the body shop was located in Sugar Land (per my car app location) but found a bit odd that they would not let me drive it to the body shop nor tell me where it was located. For cost, the fix was a bit steep - roughly $900 for what I view as a simple paint job. I also was annoyed that the body shop didn’t use protective covers on my floor mats when getting into my vehicle, which left them noticeably dirty. When I came to pick up my car, the front office staff apologized unprompted before I even saw it and gave me their business card to take to a local detailing shop. Unfortunately, that shop quoted me $150 for the detail. The fact that I was in a position to need to pay an extra $150 feels unreasonable after paying nearly $900 for the repair itself. All the body shop needed to do was use standard paper floor covers that most mechanics use, and I would’ve been perfectly satisfied. I expected the exterior of my car to be dirty and would have been fine just getting a car wash for that, but I did not expect my car to be returned with the interior dirtier than I left it.

Customer service gave me some options to repair my poor car so I actually had to think a little (but not much thankfully). The work was completed quicker than expected which was nice. The bonus is, my car now has faster tires on it so I can get to the passing lane faster to slow down. Big thank you to Marquis Mark and his bunch at Eric’s on Kirby!!! Aloha
View on GoogleI had an excellent experience with Eric's Car Care. The customer service was outstanding from start to finish. They kept me informed throughout the entire process with great communication and regular updates on my vehicle, which I really appreciated. The repairs were completed in a timely manner, and the quality of work was excellent. They replaced my drive belt, fixed an oil leak, and replaced my rear brakes. Everything was handled professionally, and my vehicle is running great. I highly recommend them if you're looking for honest service, quality work, and great customer care.
View on GoogleCharged $800 in “diagnostic”, damaged my windshield, were rude, refused to replace it, and accused me of lying. They suggest that the crack had been there for a long time using it being long hairline cracks as "proof" this was preexisting. I was told these cracks take a long time to develop and there was no way they could be responsible. Seems in bad faith to me, especially considering the car had less than 100 miles on it since it was last at one of their shops (photo proof below). I would even accept that it was hot outside and it cracked the windshield (I always parked it in a garage), but the suggestion I would bring you a car with preexisting damage in an attempt to get you to replace my windshield just simply isn't true. It's so untrue I want to continue fighting it when I have nothing to gain. I recently took my 2013 Honda Civic SI to this auto mechanic, expecting professional service and clear communication. Initially, I was quoted $120 for a diagnostic, which seemed reasonable. However, my experience quickly deteriorated from there. After the initial diagnostic, I was informed that a compression test was necessary, costing an additional $179.93, to which I agreed. Upon completion, they suggested removing the valve cover for further inspection, adding another $448.70 to my bill. Weeks passed, and then I was hit with the shocking suggestion that my car needed a new engine, quoted at $6,000. I decided not to proceed with this costly repair and opted to retrieve my car, paying nearly $800 for the diagnostics and inspections performed up to that point. Upon picking up my vehicle, I discovered several new cracks in the windshield, which were not present when I had initially left the car in their care. When I addressed this issue with the manager, I was met with rudeness and a complete refusal to take responsibility for the damage incurred while my car was in their possession. Moreover, I left with no clear documentation of the diagnostic work that justified the near $800 charge. This experience was not only frustrating but also costly, leaving me with more issues than solutions. My recounting is based on the hope that it provides insight into the challenges customers might face and encourages potential future customers to carefully consider their options. I also extend an invitation to the higher management or owners of the business to reach out to me directly if they believe this account does not reflect their standards or if there are steps we can take together toward resolution. I am open to dialogue and believe in the potential for improvement and accountability. Please, learn from my experience and approach with caution. This was not my first time coming here, but I’ll be taking my business elsewhere going forward. Even if they believe the windshield isn’t their fault I don’t do business with people who are going to accuse me of lying to save themselves. Just glad this wasn’t my corvette because I would have been out of a lot more money. Update: 8 months later after calling them out and they finally respond regurgitating the same claim that my vehicle arrived with this damage. Update 2: They finally responded! I’ll leave it up to you as a consumer to think about why someone would be disgruntled enough to come update a review almost a year after the service. They trying to do damage control but that’s fine. Keep in mind this is how they treat a repeat customer lol. 05/02/25 and of course they have just let this go... The car still runs even though I passed on a new engine and didn't get it fixed anywhere else... makes you think... But yeah seriously reconsider going here. Also if you think I am just super bitter consider I have a 5 star review for their other location (nah I changed that lol). The way I was handled as a customer here was quite disrespectful to be frank. Update 03/31/26 - Engine still runs @ 130k 🙃(my brother has the car) Maybe your experience will be better but with 2 years of hindsight this place let me down.
View on GoogleCompletely prey on you if you are a woman. Went in for simple things and they added things to my bill even after I told them no. I needed my car fixed and when they called me the first time they gave me a reasonable price but when they called again their price tripled, even if I didn’t accept I would’ve had to still pay for their diagnostics. My car still isn’t at a 100% like it was before I took it in for the problems they were supposed to fix.
