I have been bringing my 2016 Odyssey with 176K+ miles here for service for several years. C&M are truly Honda SMEs (Subject Matter Experts). Their prices are incredebily lower than Honda Dealerships (Gilman and Russell&Smith) especially for major services if you have an aging Honda vehicle. I always compare with dealerships and it is 50% less. Oil change is $55 compare to $75 at dealerships. Their workmanship and advisement is absolutely 1000% trusted and only focuses on what needed to be fix versus trying to upsell. I am really fortunate to have David at C&M as mechanic who service my Odyssey. Very grateful for C&M and highly recommend supporting them as local business.

Taking your car to a shop can be stressful, especially with so many stories about high prices and low integrity. C&M Specialists is the complete opposite. From the moment I walked in, the “Welcome Y’all” and “Still Plays with Cars” signs made me feel at ease, and the “If you are Grouchy… $20 upcharge” gave me a good laugh. The team is friendly, transparent, and clearly takes pride in their work. The waiting area feels like a neighbor’s living room, with coffee, plants, and a cozy vibe. They explained everything about my oil change and even had helpful charts about warning lights so I could better understand my car. This is the kind of place you can trust with both your vehicle and your peace of mind.

This is a tough review. I generally never leave reviews, but this one is very important to me, and due to the stark change in service quality and recent patterns of inconsistency & dysfunction, I am compelled to speak on these experiences. Loyal Customer here. Only bring my vehicles to this shop. History with Original Ownership 25+ Years: Never have I brought my Hondas into this shop & had to bring them back twice for the same thing. Any return services have been 100% routine, maintenance scheduled services. ONCE & DONE! Excellence the 1st time, consistently for over 25 Years! A true Unicorn in The Industry. Craig & Mark (C & M) are/were unmatched. Their workmanship & leadership is top notch. I can't say enough about the quality of the crew they kept, as well as their own workmanship, through the years. I had NO Worries when the ownership changed & Craig retired, though obviously bittersweet, since the new owner was a current employee & did great work (Carl). Mark had retired years ago. New Ownership: Every service with the new ownership has been challenging for me, mainly due to front office support (Disingenuous & Moody). Her communication (Michelle?), or choice of words may be technically ok/correct, but there is often a passive aggressively nasty demeanor behind her communication. It is uninviting, if not plainly impolite (short, snippy). There is also questionability around dishonesty occurring in some of the communications & transactions. Originsl Owners: The service they provided is what we all wish we could reliably receive from the dealer, but the truth is C & M Honda Specialists, effortlessly made the dealer look like a joke in every area of service. The very reason the shop was opened originally was to provide professional level quality service, at reasonable price points; to be a community resource that you can trust. The original owners definitely met that vision day in and day out, until the day they sold the shop. Exemplary Service. Unfortunately, I have seen that vision & commitment diminish quickly under the new ownership. The service now is very reminiscent of a dealer that overcharges, adds hidden pricing costs (No Cost Breakdowns), etc. This is very disheartening. I've referred 100s of customers to this shop over the last 25+ years. Not once have I heard a complaint back from a referral. Since the new ownership, I have been hesitant to refer anyone because I'm still debating whether this new owner is simply dealing with growing pains or if the decline is a resultant lack of commitment to excellence. Some fancy new furniture, coffee/tea & cute little placard on the walls, do not come close to overshadowing these new & increasing deficiencies. Can we only expect average-to-mediocre service from this point forward? Sad, if so. I pray that is not their legacy forward. Before the new ownership, it didn't matter if I had to pay $40, $400 or $4000, I gladly paid it without hesitation because I knew without a doubt, it was money well spent and my car would be fixed as agreed/ expected & I knew the service was "necessary." When costs weren't nevessary and, or costs exceeded the value of repair Craig or Mark told me so. Every check & balance proved, they were exactly who they said they were. I pray the new owners clean up their act quickly; otherwise, I'll have to, and I'm sure others will also, be compelled to look for another servicer for my Hondas.

I spent nearly $4,000 at C&M Specialist, Inc. for major repairs on my 2013 Honda Accord, including valve cover gaskets, VSA Modulator, and a catalytic converter. Less than two years later, another mechanic found active oil leaks, oil-soaked spark plugs causing misfires, and missing hardware on the catalytic converter they supposedly replaced. I also now have a P0420 emissions code, indicating the converter is not functioning properly. The evidence strongly suggests shoddy workmanship, incomplete repairs, or work that was never properly done. While time and mileage limit my recourse, this experience reflects poor quality control and unethical business practices. I would not trust this shop with major repairs.

I’ve been taking my Honda here for about four years now. They always do great work, are very reasonably priced, and never try to inflate the bill with unnecessary repairs. For many people, taking their car to a shop can be a stressful experience, but I’ve never felt that way with these guys.
