BEWARE, TAKE YOUR VEHICLE ANYWHERE ELSE I purchased a vehicle from the manager Sam at Spotless Auto (5415 San Pedro Ave San Antonio, TX 78212) and less than 1 hour later the transmission did not work. 1st time- They took it to this mechanic- Steve and he then kept it for over a week. When I got it back, it still was not working. He took it back a 2nd time- for another 1 1/2 weeks and again it still didn’t work when I got it back. Steve let me know this was a “Warranty job” between him and the dealership therefore he had no intention of putting new parts into it as there would be no profit in it for him at this point. He took it back a 3rd time- has now kept it for over 2 weeks. I have not received an update, any communication from Sam or Steve and most importantly I do not have a working vehicle.

I was recommended to go here for my transmission so I went and was not disappointed. Steve was very professional and explained everything that was needed after the diagnostic. In addition to the transmission diagnostic, he found a couple other issues that I asked him to look at. I asked if he could fix them and he said he could. I then scheduled my appointment to drop my truck off so the work can be done. As promised, he was able to complete all requested work on time. I went to pick it up and he and his mechanic explained their findings while working on my truck. He went above and beyond on the work on my truck and found a couple other issues while working on it. Needless to say, I’m extremely happy with their work and professionalism. I highly recommend Star Transmission. Outstanding work from Steve and his team. Thank you so much!

Always professional and friendly service. Assisted over the years with multiple issues whether repairs and preventative maintenance to engine transmission battery gear shaft and most recently thermostat resealing and replacement once I reported check engine light coming on. Owners Steve and Rose have always done diagnostic first, explained the issues and potential solutions that haven't always required repairs or replacement. They've gone out of way to pick us up whether on side of road when we got stuck or to and from our home while we waited for repairs to be completed. Most times the work was able to be done to my satisfaction within a day or so. They always call us with updates and inform us of any delays due to parts. Overall I've come to trust their work and don't take the car anywhere else. Star Transmission has and will continue to get my business whenever I need a trusted mechanic. They're not the biggest shop, but for me it means they have the time and efforts to focus on my vehicle when I need them.

Great customer service awesome automotive work took my Chevy p/up to get a transmission flush and while the work was being done had advised me that a couple of motor mounts needed to be replaced and they also took care of that. Very reasonable pricing unlike other transmission places i went to. Steve and Rose were very helpful and knowledgeable and communicated with me through the whole process. Would highly recommend this place to everyone in and around San Antonio.

Do not trust this company. They ripped off my sister so, so bad. They did not do the job correctly. She took it back 2x's and tranny continued with problems. She called a 3rd time and they canceled her warranty for no reason at all. We ended up going to another shop and they found so many issues with the transmission. Be careful with this shop there are so many other shops you can go to. The only reason I put one star. Because I could not post without one!! These people are crooks. 👎👎👎
