I have two older vehicles that I have been taking to Bert's Gene Brown Transmission for the last 10 years since I discovered them and am extremely pleased with their overall service and professional demeanor, as well as communication and price transparency! I've had many of their services performed on my 1990 Jeep and 1996 Ford Ranger ranging from carburetor work and replacement, Transmission & Clutch repair and replacement and also general automotive maintenance such as tune ups, oil changes and also some Exhaust repairs. I highly recommend them for any vehicles you may have, but especially recommend them if you have older vehicles! Bert's Gene Brown Transmission keeps my vehicles on the road and running great!

I was referred to a Bert Gene Brown Transmission buy a veteran mechanic is San Antonio. These guys quickly rebuilt an original transmission on my 1956 Cadillac. The shop manager responded to my texts everyday including after hours calls. They allowed me to come in weekly and talk to the technician who worked on my car and get updates from the source. After the rebuild I’ve driven the car 500 miles and she drives better than ever. I’ll be back. Go see these guys. They can fix it all

Times like today I wish I could rate more than 5 stars. Bert was extremely helpful from the time I first called him, from the time I left his shop. Bert helped me out and got me in and out within 1.5 hours for a transmission flush. Honest and fair pricing. I would never want to use another shop and recommend everyone to use this one. I did not feel like they were trying to screw me over, in fact I felt very welcomed. By the way Bert, the flush fixed my shudder. She’s running like new now! Thank you and your team for the honest fair work. You really helped me out and saved the day!

Our experience at Bert’s Gene Brown Transmission is a very different name that is key to taking your vehicle because of other transmission names that look similar, but the one I mentioned “Bert’s Gene Brown” is where they are very honest and precise regarding your vehicle’s issue. Tony P. made sure from our first contact on the phone to the time of repairs and giving back our vehicle, he made sure that we were informed of our vehicle’s needs. If there’s anything that will convince you of looking for a transmission shop, just one thing to keep in mind “honestly”!! Ask for Tony P. Oh by the way, the work was extremely clean and after the transmission was repaired, it felt like the day I purchased it in 2003 brand new.
