I switched from a shop I had used for the past 30 years to Alamo Heights Garage. I needed a shop that communicated clearly, with clear intentions, expectations, and my financial responsibility. Alamo Heights garage delivered on all points. Matthew and Anna always call and communicate and I love the pre-inspection with Pictures. This Inspection help me understand what My vehicle condition is in from good/Green to needs attention/yellow to Red/needs immediate attention. They were also very concerned And attentive when I picked up my vehicle and there was still an issue. The part needing to be replaced was actually something not related to why I took the vehicle in, but they still only charged me for the part to install and no labor due to the inconvenience. That response is top-notch and let me know that they do this from From a place of loving to repair vehicles and taking care of customers

We purchased new vehicles and had not been here in over ten years, because I drove a company vehicle. Fixing to retire and my 2013 F150 w/ 46k miles had several issues. Plus I wanted a complete mechanical evaluation since it had never been to the shop. Went back AHG and they still operate a top notch garage. They repaired my immediate issues and gave me a list of future issues several which I could do myself. This is not a shade tree mechanic so don’t expect shade tree pricing. They are honest and keep you posted with updates and options. Nothing will be done without your approval. Very honest operation. I will definitely be returning to repair future issues.
View on GoogleAlamo Heights Garage resolved a non-starting issue with my car without the expensive replacement cost that I expected. The issue was resolved and I was charged less than $100.00. I suspect that the actual labor cost was more. I first used this shop at least 30 years ago. This is the second time the shop resolved a problem with a nominal labor charge.

I brought my car in with a multitude of problems not knowing where to start and was given a detailed diagnostic report, with pictures, and was able to come up with a plan that fit my budget and addressed the worst issues first. Matthew and Gary were very helpful, never pushy, and very patient with me as I made up my mind about my next steps within the suggested plan. They also gave me a ride home while my vehicle was in service. Highly recommend this auto shop for its staff and prices.
