Sorry 😞this is so long. I took my car into Randy's Reliable Auto Repair a few weeks ago because they had good reviews online and the person who answered the phone was friendly and seemed genuinely helpful. At first, they really impressed me. The owner listened and was very relaxed. He also gave me a very reasonable estimate. I left feeling like I’d finally found a trustworthy shop.That impression didn’t last. Then came the surprise! What happened afterward is completely unacceptable.Without my permission or any prior notice, they shared my personal contact information with a third-party vendor (an FM service radio company). Shortly after, I received an unsolicited letter in the mail offering a "free trial." This is not just annoying it’s a clear violation of trust and my privacy. Also the price was different from the estimate. The staff turned nonchalant and rushed. I’ve been to enough shops to know that repairs can sometimes run over the estimate, but the combination of poor communication, unexplained price changes, and the sudden shift from caring to purely money-driven left a really bad taste.
