Edwin's Repair Shop

On the way to the beach and our check engine light turned on and the engine went into self-protection mode. We limped to Edwin’s. Edwin and staff quickly read the codes, fixed the car, and verified that the engine was happy again. Price was reasonable. Awesome service!

My Yukon broke down on Saturday, which was very stressful. I contacted Edwin on Sunday morning, and he responded promptly. I dropped off the vehicle that afternoon so he could begin work on Monday. First thing Monday morning, he called to explain the Antilock Braking System issue, outline the required parts, and review the labor costs before proceeding. Although he initially estimated a two day turnaround due to a parts delay, the part arrived early, and he completed the repairs the same day. I was able to pick up my vehicle by 5 Monday. Thank you so much!!

Edwin’s is the best! So grateful for his experience and his knowledge, not to mention his honesty and compassion. We had a shade tree mechanic really do us wrong and messed up my Mom’s car. we didn’t know what to do but we called Edwin. He was fast and courteous and he explained it all to us. Edwin fixed it all! Great customer service and he never overcharges! He has been a mechanic his whole life and he is great at it. Thank you Edwin!

I have a 1996 Ford F-250 Diesel that I bought 4 years ago. Immediately it needed some work done and Edwin’s was the closest to me. He quoted me a price, did the work, but found a few small issues that needed to be addressed. He didn’t charge me extra because no parts were needed, just some TLC and it was done along the way. I brought this truck back to have new door hinges installed, a starter related replaced due to a bad Amazon product and have my drum brakes looked at and adjusted. It only took a week to do this, which sounds excessive until you realize that the doors need small adjustments to make sure they close like they are supposed to. And I walked in off the street, no appointment. My doors now close better than factory ones, my updated and upgraded hinges meant that they couldn’t use the old paint pattern, but actually do it by hand. They replaced the starter relay, and adjusted my drum brakes, giving me more life out of them. Edwin’s Repair shop has great customer service, the repair cost is about the same, but he doesn’t upcharge for parts like other places. What you find in the store is the same price he charges, and the work is better than most dealerships. Will I come back? Of course! Would I recommend this to friends and family? Already have, and will do again.

Edwin was AMAZING. Our car broke down on the hwy outside of Pleasanton. I had our car towed to Edwin’s shop. Her alternator is bad. He replaced the alternator quickly. When our funding was extremely late, Edwin allowed me to stay at his shop office. When the funding wasn’t there by closing, my Husband drove back up from Corpus to get me. He waited with me for 2 hours. The funds came in about 8 pm. He came back to the shop to allow us to pay and take our car home. He was a godsend to us. We were completely unfamiliar with Pleasanton. We were exhausted. He was kind and engaging. I will continue to patronize his shop for our further needed repairs.
