Unethical Practices and Poor Service at Mr. Fix It All Auto Repair, Located in Magnolia, TX 77354
I regret to share my deeply disappointing experience with Mr. Fix It All Auto Repair, located in Magnolia, TX 77354. The level of professionalism and integrity displayed at this establishment is severely lacking, and I feel compelled to share my concerns.
From the outset, it was evident that the mechanics working on my car were not adequately experienced. When I inquired about the repairs, I was surprised to learn that a family member of the owner had performed the work. This raised significant doubts about their qualifications and whether they were even certified to handle such complex repairs. Unfortunately, my concerns were justified when my car broke down almost immediately after leaving the shop.
My car has now been in the shop for over a month for a second round of repairs, and it still has not been fixed—the engine light is on, and it’s making noise. The owner, Luis, provided inconsistent repair estimates and ultimately charged more than what was initially quoted. This lack of transparency and the misleading information provided has made it clear that this business cannot be trusted.
Mr. Luis is very inconsistent; he changes his commitments depending on his will and mood at the time. He will say one thing and then change his mind and words at the drop of a hat. This kind of behavior is highly unprofessional and only adds to the frustration of dealing with this shop.
Shockingly, during a conversation, we came to know that they didn't even properly test the major transmission work before returning the car to me. We asked several times for an explanation of what went wrong with the repair, but he never provided any answers.
Luis recommended two transmission parts, pushing for the more expensive option, which he claimed was the most reliable. At no point did he disclose that this was a remanufactured transmission. Furthermore, he insisted that a functioning radiator needed to be replaced to comply with the warranty, promising not to charge for the labor. Yet, when the final bill arrived, there was a significant labor charge, and the total cost was far higher than expected. None of the charges added up, raising further questions about the shop's honesty—he even added a few unexplained duplicate charges.
When confronted about the issues, Luis deflected responsibility, blaming the parts rather than acknowledging any fault on his part. After waiting for an entire month, my truck is still not fixed, and once again, Luis denies any accountability.
To add to my frustration, this is not the only vehicle I’ve had issues with at this shop. A second car, also serviced here, continues to experience problems post-repair. This has only compounded the stress and disappointment I’ve faced.
I initially chose Mr. Fix It All Auto Repair based on positive reviews and recommendations, but I now feel utterly betrayed and regret my decision to trust this place. Despite the significant amount of money spent, I am left with a vehicle that is still in need of repairs.
I am left uncertain about the extent of the damage until I take my car to a different, more trustworthy mechanic for a proper inspection. I understand the importance of good reviews for a business, which is why I gave Luis ample time—over a month—to resolve the issue. However, it’s clear that he does not recognize the severity of the problem or feel any urgency to make things right.
In summary, I strongly advise others to reconsider before trusting their vehicles to Mr. Fix It All Auto Repair & Mr Luis. My experience has been a costly and frustrating ordeal, and I would not want anyone else to go through the same.
