The owner and staff are very nice and courteous. The tech did a great install. The only negative is lack of protection from the process and cleanup. I understand that any work on a diesel is messy, so it would make sense to take extra steps to protect painted finishes and other surfaces from oil. But if oil does manage to get on things, it needs cleaned off. I'll go back if I need work done that I choose not to do myself and will ask for that extra step of protection.

DK Transmission Service was excellent to work with. They were fair, fast, and thorough throughout the entire process. My truck was towed in on Tuesday, and I was back on the road by Thursday. I especially appreciated that they focused on repairing and servicing my existing transmission rather than trying to upsell me on a replacement. Honest shop, quality work– I definitely recommend them.

I had an AC leak that I could not find. Thinking it was the evaporator core I took it to Darrel. He did confirm the evaporator core was the issue. He told my dad 2500 and hours later told me 2800. I approved the repair at 2800. I never once received a call mentioning price increase or needing a new windshield. The car is ready for pick up, now the bill is 3255. I just said screw it whatever let me have my car. As I am about to pay the bill I am met with a 550$ charge. A new windshield.... That I did not break..... Im paying 3773. 973 over the original 2800. where I have never heard any updated pricing. My dad went to get the details on this erroneous charge. Darrel claimed to have called me explaining all this. Correct, he called me saying the AC leak has been fixed and the windshield will be put back in the next day. Pulling the windshield is common on this repair. I was uninformed of any breaks or price increasing. Darrel shifted blame to the glass company. Who we contacted and were very nice saying they charged 250 for the removal and installations and mentioned it is possible for the windshield to break and it would be the cost of the windshield for a new one. This information was not forwarded to me, Darrel just told them yes and the glass broke so 250+550 is now 800$ extra I had no idea of. I would have denied the service if they just communicated. I was having a hard time approving 2800 I would never have approved 3000, 3255, especially not 3773. Darrel tried to tell me "I'm not making anything on the windshield" What do you mean I'm looking at the 550 charge on my invoice???
