On a Wednesday, my car wouldnt start. The battery was able to be jumped and it didnt seem like the issue was the battery. I let it run awhile, turned it off and then went back to start it and it didnt start. We were leaving for a trip Saturday, so I was obviously upset. I called our normal small repair shop, but they couldn't see my vehicle for almost 2 weeks. I then stumbled on Carter Auto Repair. I called and they said I could bring it today and I would hear from them the next day - they texted me the problem with the bill, turned out to be the battery and our trip was saved with my vehicle. This repair shop reassured me that everything was OK, checked out options besides the battery to make sure and is a place I will refer over and over again as a quality repair shop. We have been bringing our vehicles here for about five years, and I cannot say enough good things about this shop. They are honest, dependable, and only recommend repairs that you actually need. After a terrible experience at another mechanic (who was closer to our new home) who tried to sell me unnecessary work, this team reminded me what real integrity looks like. They take the time to explain things clearly and never make you feel stupid or talked down to. I always leave knowing exactly what was done and why. It is rare to find a mechanic who genuinely cares about your safety and your wallet, but this place does. Carter Automotive Repair has worked on my truck multiple times, and I have been more than satisfied with their service. Greg and Ashley are very helpful and professional. All of my repairs were done right the first time. My truck has never ran better. They were honest about what needed to be done, and what could wait. They also gave me price options on different brands of parts. I will continue to give them my business!
View on GooglePicked up my car from them yesterday. This was the second time we have taken our car there. First time was an AC problem which was fixed at a great labor rate and decent parts pricing. This time was for brakes. Needed all 4 rotors and pads. Pricing was again fair and their service was fast. Turn around was same day. Their prices include a 3% fee for paying with card. Cash and check are cheaper. Communication was easy- all done over text. I would recommend their service to anyone.
