Kwik Kar of Lucas

Dear Owner, I am writing regarding a recent service performed on my 2023 Volkswagen Atlas Cross Sport at your Kwik Kar Lucas location. When I brought my vehicle in for service, the hood release handle was functioning properly. After the service was completed, I discovered that the interior hood release handle had been broken and no longer operates correctly. This damage was not present before my visit. Since then, I have contacted your location several times to discuss this issue, but I have not received a satisfactory resolution. I have also obtained an estimate from another repair facility, which informed me that there is a $199 diagnostic fee before any repairs can even begin. As the damage occurred while my vehicle was in your care, I do not believe I should be responsible for these costs. I respectfully request that Kwik Kar accept responsibility for the damage and arrange for the hood release handle to be repaired at no cost to me, or reimburse me for the full cost of the diagnosis and repair if I am required to have the work completed elsewhere. Please respond within seven (7) business days with your proposed resolution. If we are unable to resolve this matter, I will have no choice but to pursue other options, which may include filing complaints with the Better Business Bureau, the Texas Attorney General’s Consumer Protection Division, and any other appropriate consumer protection agencies. The staff is friendly and the prices are reasonable. Unfortunately, they don’t appear to want to do tire rotations even though they’re a full service shop. The first time I asked, they tried to convince me that I didn’t need one. The next time I came in for an oil change and rotation. They told me they didn’t have a lift big enough for my truck, even though they’ve done it before.
