They give a detailed explanation on car inspection, along with pictures. Parts come with 3 yr or 36k warranty. Thank you all for your help with this matter!!

Great service, nice people!! Larry and Selbert fixed my car up after I ran over some highway debris Sunday night. I called Monday morning and they were able to get me in ASAP. Very thankful for their service!

I was travleing to Galveston for vacation. An hour in a half into the 6 1/2 hour drive my AC stopped working. I contacted my cousin to see if he had a mechanic in Texas City that I could drop off my car for repair. He suggested Velocity. Best suggestion. They got me in. Contacted my warranty company and had me back on the road by Sat. They did an amazing job. Stayed in contact with me the whole time. They are great.

Brought my car here because my girlfriend had a great experience at Velocity with her car. I had some vibrating under the car which I thought was my exhaust. The mechanics said they believed it was actually my flywheel. Just to take things apart to see what was wrong would have cost $1500, to replace the flywheel would have totaled to about $2800. When I came to pick up my car the guys told me I was getting a discount. I saw the invoice and it was $280. When I asked why they said it turns out the bolts to the flywheel were just loose and they were able to tighten everything up without taking anything apart. So, they saved me a bunch of money. Many auto places are known to lie or get money out of people when there may not be an issue with a car. I didn’t feel that way at all with Velocity. The fact they were honest and saved me money spoke volumes. Anytime I need work done on my car I WILL be bringing it back to them. Everyone was also super cool, cracking jokes with each other and me as well. Felt real personable. Great environment. Thank you Velocity for your help.

If I could give zero stars, I would. I brought my 2016 F-150 to Velocity Auto Care for major timing system repairs, including the variable valve timing (VVT) cam phasers. My gut said to go through the dealership, but I made the ultimate mistake of going through this junkyard/shop. The truck sat for roughly six months waiting on parts, and after finally getting it back, the problems never seemed to end. First day of picking it up I noticed my engine was ticking, which they said was normal for this engine. Yet it had never made such a noise before. Then Within about a week of picking it up, the truck broke down again with multiple engine-related issues, including head gasket concerns and numerous fault codes. I brought it back, and after a few days I was told that one of the solenoids they had just replaced was supposedly faulty and needed attention again. About a month later, while driving to Kingsville, the check engine light came on again. After inspecting the truck myself, I found an ignition coil boot rolled up and improperly seated. I also discovered multiple vacuum lines disconnected from the intake that should have been connected. The final straw came less than two years after the original repair. The truck suffered another major failure and ended up spending approximately 3.5 months in the shop. Communication throughout the process was extremely poor. I repeatedly struggled to get updates, was often left without answers regarding what was wrong with the truck, and felt completely ignored during much of the warranty process. Eventually, I was informed that the secondary timing chain and camshaft sprocket gear had failed. They were clueless to why that could even happen… After months of waiting, I was told the truck was repaired, only to then be told they would no longer honor the warranty because the truck was supposedly “not taken care of.” This was despite the fact that the truck was being taken care of and even brought back for issues related to the very work that had been performed. Between the repeated breakdowns, disconnected vacuum lines, questionable workmanship, lack of communication, months of downtime, and refusal to stand behind the repair, this has been by far the worst automotive service experience I have ever had. I ultimately lost confidence in the truck and work they have done… ended up purchasing a brand new vehicle. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Velocity Auto Care and would strongly encourage others to do extensive research before trusting them with major engine repairs One of the most frustrating parts of this experience was dealing with Chris. Throughout the process, I felt like I was constantly being talked down to whenever I asked questions about my truck. Instead of receiving clear explanations and updates, many conversations came across as dismissive and condescending. As a paying customer dealing with repeated breakdowns, months of downtime, and ongoing warranty concerns, I expected professional communication and basic respect. When your vehicle is spending months in a shop and you’re trying to understand what is happening, the last thing you want is to feel like your concerns are being brushed aside or that you’re being treated like you don’t know what you’re talking about. Good customer service isn’t just fixing vehicles—it’s communication, transparency, and treating customers with respect. Unfortunately, that was not my experience here, not one time.
