Brakes Plus

I had left a positive review before but after my recent service, I felt it needed to be updated. The staff was friendly and the manager made sure I was good throughout the whole process which I appreciated However the quality of the work did not match the service I went in for a rear brake replacement and was advised to also get rotor resurfacing and a brake fluid flush. Immediately after, I noticed a clicking noise from the rear of my car that was never there before. I brought it back and was told it was a loose clip and had been fixed, but the noise continued. I went to Firestone to get a brake inspection for a second opinion. They showed me that the brake fluid flush had not actually been completed. In the attached photo, you can see the test strip comparison—clean brake fluid versus the fluid from my car. My brake fluid turned dark purple immediately, and they repeated the test multiple times in front of me with the same result. They also found that the rotor resurfacing was uneven, which I have videos of. Now I’m having to pay additional money to fix issues that should have been handled correctly the first time. Because of this, I do not feel comfortable returning to this location. I would recommend getting a second opinion before approving major services here.

I originally left a 5-star review based on the excellent customer service I received. However, after getting my vehicle back following a brake fluid flush, I immediately noticed a change in the brake feel. The brake pedal was firm before the service, but afterward it traveled much farther before the brakes engaged. As a result, I had to return the very next day for the issue to be checked. What was supposed to be a routine service turned into additional work and another trip to the shop, requiring me to leave work and spend more time addressing a problem that wasn’t there before. While the staff has been courteous, the inconvenience and concern about the brake performance have been disappointing. Don’t trust this place based on customer service. Their work is not trustworthy as per my experience.

Gina is the absolute best there is! I had trouble with my car (I know! Shocker!) And Gina got me in and taken care of. As I go 2 blocks away to register my car, it dies. I call up Gina and not only did she come to help, but she brought a tech to help me get started and get back to the shop. Now, of course, there's more problems, but Gina explained everything and did her best to get me a good price (after all I'd already spent). While car repairs are a necessary evil of life, Gina and her crew at Brakes Plus really went above and beyond to help me get going. I'll always recommend Brakes Plus thanks to Gina! She's a stellar example of customer service and has guaranteed my repeat business. Thank you Gina and everyone at Brakes Plus for a wonderful experience. You have a life long customer!

First when I walked in Hailey was amazing made sure I was taken care of right away Then we needed Isiah the managers help and not only did he work with me he ensured I get pricing on my budget and my safety was his biggest concern so he’s awesome Then last step Kevin the mechanic recommend using him everytime Amazing experience

So usually I call around just to get told these astronomical prices for an oil change. This morning, my car gave me the last warning sign I needed -I blindly pulled into the closest brake and oil change establishment near me. Thank God I did!!! Miss Gina was super sweet, knowledgeable and attentive. The team got me in & out quickly. I will be back to Brakes Plus for my brakes soon!
