Valvoline Express Care

I had a very disappointing experience at Valvoline Express Care in DeSoto, TX. The location is advertised to open at 7:30 AM, yet the manager arrived 30 minutes late. After already handing my keys to the staff and waiting in the lobby, I simply asked what time they opened. Instead of acknowledging the delay or offering a simple apology, the manager responded dismissively, pointing to the posted hours and then saying, “I see what you’re doing,” implying I was trying to provoke an excuse. That level of unprofessionalism and lack of accountability was unacceptable. As a customer, I wasn’t asking for an explanation—just basic acknowledgment and respect. Customer service is everything, and this experience made it clear that it is not a priority at this location. I chose to take my business elsewhere, and I would encourage others to consider the same if professionalism and respect matter to you.

I use to like the customer service received here, but not today (12/27/2025 @ 8 am). Ced use to find coupons or discounts for customers when he worked here! He was an excellent employee. Years ago and customer service has definitely declined here. A short overweight Hispanic male checked me out with MUCH sarcasm. I was told by another younger Hispanic male that my synthetic oil change would be $76 + tax. Then as I check I I read a sign that states: They add and ADDITIONAL 3.5% tax if you use your card. I asked the heavy dude his response was "that's whaT you just read, right!" I said I'm simply clarifying what's there. He said, "Weren't you here in May?" Me: "I didn't bring my car for service that, but yes it was serviced in May. Then I asked if they had new management he said yes since 1 -1 1/2 ago... He said, I don't make the changes. Me: I realize you are JUST an employee and that you don't have the capability to make these changes. I simply asked you for clarity. I am a consistent customer, dates of service on top of pic. I will NOT EVER TAKE MY CAR BACK (his reponse was, "thats fine!"), nor will I refer anyone here. All companies that charge less for cash are only trying to SCAM on their taxes! Do not waste your time taking your car to this place. It has EXTREMELY Poor customer service and that, "KILLS a business! Boycott this place. You and I work too hard to tolerate bad customer service. Cashier 4380. ***Dissatisfied customer.

I didnt get oil change ge because I was at the wrong Valvoline. However, the techs were very nice and pointed me in the right directions for my oil change.

Everything was fine until it came time to pay. The mechanic who did my oil change handed me my keys. And said all done. Have a great day! It being my first time there I asked where do I pay? The guy that randomly walked up to the registered just looked at me like I was stupid and said you pay here. And smirked. He then didn't honor my coupon directly from the website. I dont think Im going to be back. The guy that rang me up had a prisonization persona. Which I dont tolerate. Ill take my money else where.

Customer service sucks! First off I come inside no one inside. I waited for 10 minutes and no one came inside to help me! I walked out and a worker saw me and did not say nothing!
