Pros: ✅ Great service – Clay and his team took great care of my car. They were helpful, professional, and worked quickly. ✅ Appointment-based system – No long waits if you schedule ahead. ✅ Reliable & skilled – They know what they’re doing and get the job done right. Things to Note: ⚠️ Appointments are required – This shop only works by appointment, so don’t show up without one. No walk-ins! ⚠️ Waiting room smell – There’s a strong smell of engine oil and smoke inside. If you’re sensitive to smells (like me, since I have allergies), you might prefer waiting outside—unless it's raining, like today. Would I come back? ✅ Yes. Would I recommend this shop? ✅ Definitely. Heldmann Family Automotive is a great shop with knowledgeable technicians. I brought my truck to the shop for a check engine light and heater not working. They did a great job fixing my truck and was very reasonably priced. I would highly recommend giving them a call.

View on GoogleI originally posted a glowing review about the service that I received at Heldmann's when the alternator on my Honda went out and Clay seemed to go out of his way to assist me with getting it fixed. However, I am updating this post because my all of my experiences afterwards were terrible. I had specifically stated that I wanted a new alternator rather than a rebuild and even suggested that I purchase the part from O-Reilly's since the car was parked in their lot. Clay assured me that it would be better for him to provide the new part and that he would keep all of the paperwork for my convenience. The car never ran correctly after the car was returned and the replacement alternator went out completely after only a few months. When I returned to the shop with my concern, I was met with a very different customer service experience, treated very rudely, and told that he doesn't keep paperwork on parts. I took the car to another shop who confirmed that the alternator was a faulty rebuild part and they replaced it with a new alternator that has worked perfectly for years now.
