Been coming here for years since moving to Denton and they absolutely fix every issue that I have with speed and for a very reasonable price. They're always super kind and friendly, and they always address any concerns that I have. Specifically this time they inspected my vehicle and tightened my axle bracket for free and sent me to Honda to get my fuel injectors replaced for free since they were recalled

Update: 02/21/2025 I had to acquire another used vehicle to accommodate my family members. This one is a 2007 model year, purchased from the individual who originally purchased it as a new vehicle. Unfortunately due to the immediate need of our situation this vehicle was purchased with the "Check Engine" dash light on. I dropped it first thing at 8AM and by 5:30PM same day, we have a quality daily driver. The seller/original owner had apparently allowed mice to spend some time chewing wires so the diagnostic code was unreliable; the damaged wiring had to be replaced and another diagnostic afterwards. Fortunately, even though the technician spent almost 8 hours with the vehicle and the oxygen sensor was in fact bad, including one new low-beam and Full-Synthetic oil change, my bank account was only slightly smaller (Barebones was 47% less than one in person quote and online estimates were more.) On Monday Barebones will run the emissions test; will drive approx. 50 miles then can pass inspection. Given the below-market cost of these repairs this vehicle purchase remains a BARGAIN. The service & parts warranty they provide makes the investment a POSITIVE-CERTAIN outcome! Thanks to the Advisors and Tech's! Sincere and factual feedback/review. I was referred to the owner, John, back when he was working out of a "rent-a-bay" in 2009. I had fallen on hard times financially and he did high quality work at extraordinarily affordable rates. His quality work spread by word of moth so quickly that within a few years he owns his own facility with 16+ bays, lifts, front-end alignment, diesel repair, tires and window tint services. All of his mechanics care about doing the job right and his Service Adviser, Stephen, id both gregarious and extremely knowledgeable. John and his staff have saved me literally thousands of dollars keeping my two older vehicles in reliable, quality running condition! You cannot find a mechanic of higher integrity. They will never sell you anything you don't need but will never fix something and leave it unfixed either. They give warranty on all their work/parts. Love these folks!

So great to find an honest car repair service in Denton! PLUS they offer a 24 mo/24K mile warranty on parts & labor - Amazing! Excellent communication, provided requested quotes for my little blue Fiat and no pressure to complete additional work, which I will schedule at a later time. Friendly, courteous staff who know their business; highly recommend this business.

The difference between auto repair shops can be subtle, but in this case, it was significant. My daughter, a UNT grad student, had a steering issue, and since I'm an hour away, trust is crucial. Our first experience at a popular shop with great reviews and highly recommended was disappointing: they never mentioned, either in writing or over the phone, a $127 diagnostic fee. More importantly, my daughter felt she was not treated warmly or kindly. Then we found Barebones Auto Repair, again recommended by both UNT parents and Google reviews. They are the complete opposite. They do what they say, when they say it. There are no hidden charges, only fair, upfront prices and a fast turnaround. The people are warm, friendly, and professional. This was as positive of an auto repair experience as you could hope for. While it’s only been one visit, I'm already a huge fan!
