I should have listened to my mom when she said, it sounded like a scam. I had a transmission issue, and Justin could not give me a ETA to save his life. The day he told me the truck was fixed, I drove it right back to him a few hours later. It was doing the exact same thing. When I called to get a diagnosis, he got indignant. Needless to say, I had my truck picked up the same day and taken to Chevy. Per the information that Chevy gave me, he never replaced my transmission as he said. The transmission was rebuilt and some negligence had been done to prevent the transmission from working properly. I was told that a new one was placed and had paid in full for his services. He told me there was no refunds and to read my contract. I'm sure my contract did not say that he would lie about his services and deceive his customers into believing they are paying for something they are not. I am not happy at all!

Recently had my ford f150 transmission rebuilt, I must say its intimidating trying to choose a mechanic for such an extensive repair and I was a bit skeptical at first, but my experience here was amazing. Justin provided great customer service and treated my vehicle as if it was his vehicle getting him to and from work. Fair prices and he even went above and beyond to pick me up from work so I didnt have to take public transportation to get my vehicle back. Everything he promised happened as such and the free tow is absolutely a huge help which is actually free not marked up with hidden charges on labor like you would typically see. I would absolutely recommend this mechanic to anyone looking for maintenance beyond your basic oil changes.

Don't use this shop, and don't listen if a DFW tow truck service recommends it - the driver gets a cut. Their entire business model is just to scam people left and right. Shops like these give the industry and honest technicians a bad reputation. There's 2 reputable shops in Garland, "The Transmission Shop" and S&C Body and Auto - if you're reading go there instead! This whole place is a front, and it's clear there's fraud going on here as well, owner will claim this is a spam review like the rest of the negative ones.

I called this place when the transmission in my mini cooper started making bearing noise. I would consider myself pretty knowledgeable when it comes to mechanical parts seeing as how i just graduated school as an airframe and powerplant rated mechanic to work on aircraft. With that being said, i am definetely not omniscient or all knowing nor have i ever rebuilt a transmission. Im sure i probably could if i had the correct tools and equipment but it would almost definetely take me longer than a shop who rebuilds them all the time. I need my transmission fixed as quickly as possible which is why i considered paying the high premium for labor and with the lifetime warranty they offer i thought it was a sweet deal. They orginally seemed very proffesional over the phone. I live in oklahoma no where near dallas texas so it seemed very nice of them to come up to oklahoma city and transport my transmission down to dallas to rebuild it and bring it back for me. So i personally spent 2 days to remove my transmission which is no small feat in my little mini cooper. They said 2 days to pick it up, 3-5 to rebuild it and another 2 to bring it back. By my math that adds up to 7-9 days total time. The last time i spoke to them they had my transmission for 24 days. I had found out by other mechanics and mini cooper specialists that my transmission cant be completely rebuilt. The most that can be done is bearings and seals which runs about 200ish. They qouted me 1200 to replace all components gears, synchros, bushings etc. Then once i found out that information i wanted to see if they would let me know about this situation and they never did and continued to tell me they rebuilt the entire thing. Then when payment came around they would not accept a check of any kind, their debit/credit machines had been down for a while, and they wanted cold hard cash. I had never recieved a reciept of any kind and wanted me to pay before i ever even saw the transmission which they had told me the had completed 3 different times only to turn around the next day and tell me it wasnt done yet. They then requested my bank account routing number and when i didnt give them that they wanted me to pay them through a cash app such as venmo. I told them i didnt feel comfortable using this payment method several times and they told me that was the only option. Seeing as how you cant rebuild it anyways and it was poorly engineered and fails frequently i considered it as a total loss and told them just to keep it. They quickly responded with thats fine we already have a buyer for it. At the end of all this my opinion is that i dont know of any professional large scale business that deals in such high dollar payments that takes payment through a cash app or requests personal banking information. Let alone proceeds to sell someone a service that is impossible to complete. Now im not saying they havent done legitimete business with people before, im sure they have. But in my instance they absolutely tried to screw me for a fact. They costed me almost a entire month of my car just sitting there when they could have just been honest a long time ago and i could have bought another transmission which i had to do anyways and already had my car running and driving in that amount of time they had my transmission in thier possesion. I considered legal action but after speaking with attorneys and the court house they said i had a case and i would probably win but even if i did there was no qaurentee for settlement. I figured it wasnt worth it between the legal fees and time spent fighting them in court just to risk all of it not being worth it anyways. My honest opinion is there are all kinds of places that fix cars and transmissions etc. And i would definetely take yours to someone else or risk something of a similar magnitude to my situation being a possibility. Now he has replied saying i tried to use a card without my name on and pay less than we agreed on. We agreed on a set price of 1200 dollars. When i tried to pay with MY card they said thier card machines were down.

Do not let this guy do any work for you. He called me a week after he had it and it still wasn’t fixed. I paid him in full that day. Seven more weeks go by and I hear one thing from him the whole seven weeks. Then I called him on the eighth week and his phone is disconnected. I go to his shop to confront him and he started being hostile and basically told me to get my Tahoe off his property and that he wasn’t going to give me my money back. This guy is very unprofessional and I would never do business with him again. Also working on a lawsuit so he’ll be dealing with that very soon. Do not do business with this guy.
