I have a trusted mechanic but it he’s been way too busy and kinda turned and burned me. I took my car to TLC for a second opinion and they nailed it. So kind and informative and professional. They also give you a full diagnosis printed out. The system they use is pretty cool and prevents any surprise charges.
View on GoogleMy name is Jane Selin. We’ve taken our 2006 Lexus 430 convertible in a couple of times. They did a complete re-haul and it runs like a brand new car. We have 250,000 miles on it. We will get at least 250,000 more. These guys are incredible. I would never go anywhere else.
View on GoogleTransparency is very strong at this shop, I’ve been here twice and both times and was satisfied each visit just not with the repair itself. Their prices are fair, not cheap but definitely not expensive like some other crooked shops charge. They explain what’s going on with your car along the way of the repair and would even show you (if you ask them). Tldr: no one likes going to the mechanic shop for repairs but if you need to find a transparent / fair price mechanic this shop should definitely be on your radar.
View on GoogleIn Feb 2025, we brought our vehicle to TLC Auto Repair for a coolant leak. They replaced the oil filter housing assembly. The same issue returned, and on Oct 6, 2025, I brought it back. After no updates for over a week, I learned from Thomas via text that the original leak was never fixed and was still coming from the oil cooler they replaced. Later, Ken said there was a new leak and asked for $225 but later agreed to waive it after I showed the text messages. When I picked up my car on Oct 20, the A/C no longer worked, though it was fine before. Communication was inconsistent, and the issue was never resolved. I no longer trust this shop with my vehicle. Keep written records if you decide to use them.
View on GoogleUpdate: this shop does shotty work and doesnt stand by their 100% customer satisfaction. Since the dealer ship my Jeep has lived at this shop as they keep breaking things on my vehicle. DO NOT GO HERE!!! They ruined my Christmas AND New Year due to my jeep being down for check engine light. Everytime i picked my Jeep up another warning light was on!? I tried talking to Ken about the lack of attention to detail by his mechanics which I still am having all the same issues with my Jeep as I did 4 months ago. THESE PEOPLE CANNOT FIX CARS!! IM REPORTING THEM TO BBB AND TDLR FOR POOR BUSINESS PRACTICES AS I STILL HAVE TO GET MY JEEP FIXED. IVE BEEN SMELLING ANTIFREEZE EVER SINCE THEY "FIXED" M THERMOSTAT SMH WHICH SHOWED NO SIGNS THAT IS WAS BAD EXCEPT FOR THE LIGHT. KEN DOES NOT TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR HIS POOR MECHANICAL WORK. When I questioned him about why am I tired was not looked at when I brought it in the time before when there was a sensor light on, all he said was well if they couldn't find the problem how do you expect me to? Well I told him I expect you to be a mechanic and look for the issues when there's lights on letting you know there's a problem this has happened on several occasions just don't even go with this place the headache alone is not worth it and they will mess your car up
