Redline Engines and Transmissions

I had an engine replaced and other services completed by them. Pricing is fair and they do what they say they will do and on time. They are about 30 miles from where I live but go to them. I tried someone else and won't do that again! I did 9,000 miles on a trip shortly after the engine replacement and never worried about the truck. I'm planning 13,000 mile trip this summer and am quite comfortable in the repair and won't worry about this trip either. I recommend them completely!

This was a genuinely positive experience from the start. One of the key reasons for this was due to how reassuring Redline Rob was right away. Before he even saw the car, he expressed a calm confidence that the job could be done and that the vehicle could be restored to proper operating condition. That set the tone. I had already narrowed the issue down to the engine, which had been showing signs of trouble before the eventual failure. It’s a Kia (a make known for certain gasoline direct injection challenges) and I’ll be honest, I hadn’t always stayed on top of maintenance milestones. The unfortunate result was an engine breakdown (something I had yet to experience in my 35 years of driving). Their team handled everything efficiently. They arranged towing to their facility and even absorbed that cost into the overall price of the repair. From there, they diagnosed the issue, sourced a proper replacement engine, and completed the entire job in about a week and a half. The difference is remarkable. It genuinely feels like driving a new car again. Included in the price of engine replacement, they also offer a four-year warranty on the engine replacement. FAIR WARNING: this warranty is contingent on routine inspection and maintenance, which is completely reasonable given the quality of service and the affordability they offer. I hope I will never need another emergency engine replacement, but it’s reassuring to know this option exists. In many cases, it can be a smarter path than purchasing a new vehicle. In many cases, a far more intelligent option is to invest in the vehicle you already have, while learning how to extend its lifespan.

I had an excellent experience with Rob. Towing is included, he has an awesome warranty, and he got me in and out super fast when most shops were quoting a 2 week wait. His pricing was more competitive than other shops, even with all of the things he included. I hope to not need another transmission in any of my vehicles anytime soon 😉, but if I do I will definitely give him my business, as well as recommend him to anyone that asks!
