I went in for a muffler replacement. Mechanic notices a small fuel leak under my truck and wraps the lines in a hoodie to do his welding. He welds in my Flowmaster 40 and drops the truck. Fires it up and sounds fine. No leaks. Perfect. 20 hours later I'm headed to work and POW! I pull over on 199, in the rain, and look under the truck expecting to see what is left of a muffler. Instead I discover my mechanic's hoodie wrapped around my drive line with fuel pouring from the fuel lines that have been ripped apart. JR's was closed for the weekend so I repaired my truck instead of having it towed to his shop. Monday morning I drove in and returned his hoodie. The same man who had preformed the work on my truck offered not even an apology for his mistake. I offered him another opportunity to make things right by installing my brake pads for me but he quietly quoted me....$60..... knowing.
