Rocky Top Ford Service

We had a mechanical issue the day before we were to leave tomorrow head home while on vacation. We had issues with our F450 and the service dept got us in to diagnose the problem. While there we happened to look at a F350 on the lot and Cole was the salesman who helped us. We decided to trade and I can’t say enough about how great our experience was. From the service dept to the whole sales team. Cole was amazing and even in 100 degree weather Cole and several other team members helped move the stuff from our old truck to the new one in the heat. I can’t say enough about how customer service oriented the people at this dealership are. Great experience and I highly recommend Cole as your next salesman. No pressure at all.

I was able to schedule my oil change and a recall service smoothly. The work was completed quickly and the rates were fair. Rocky Top Ford does most of the regular service on my vehicle, and I’ve never had a problem.

We were on our way to Florida on our honeymoon and started having car trouble, Chris was able to get us in quickly. Our car was fixed the same day and we were given a loaner car while it was being worked on. Chris did an amazing job keeping us in the loop on what was happening with the car, I'm beyond impressed with Rocky Top Ford, if we didn't live 11 hours away it would be our go to dealership.

Do not bring your diesel vehicle for service if you have an extended warranty. They took one week to even diagnose what was wrong with the truck and over two weeks after that, so 3 weeks total giving high quotes on cost of labor and parts to the extended warranty company and wanted twice the amount for parts and labor compared to the prices of three local ASE certified diesel repair shops. They wanted $23,000 to repair the CP4 pump and the damage it caused, the other three local shops quoted $8,800-$11,000 for the repairs which is what the extended warranty was stating the repairs should be. So three weeks without our truck to then have to pay the $300 diagnostic fee to the dealer and pay for another tow from the dealer to a local diesel repair shop that charges the fair prices and has high reviews. Since we broke down in Tennessee but live in another state, we had to drive 4 hours back to the dealer to meet the tow truck driver and we asked the dealer to please leave our truck out so it was accessible for the tow truck driver to pick it up and the dealer knows from having many trucks towed there, that it would be helpful for the truck to be parked facing forward for the tow truck driver, and every truck parked next to ours was facing forward but they left our truck parked facing in, so that our tow truck driver had to struggle with us to put the truck in neutral and push the truck out of the spot to get it in the right position to get it on the tow truck. There were also spider webs on our truck, which showed us our truck had been sitting outside for a long while. The dealer was informed many times that our truck is our main source of family income and how important it was for us to get our truck repaired as soon as possible. They could have told us on day one that it would take a week for them to have time to even diagnose what was wrong with our truck, so then we could have had that knowledge and heads up to have decided to have it towed somewhere else from the beginning. They also could have let us know within 7-8 days not three weeks that they charge double what the extended warranties usually will pay and they won't lower their prices and we could have had it towed sooner.

On Monday 02-16-2026, I broke down right in front of Rocky Top Ford in Sevierville, TN. They got me right in their shop and found the problem. They drove to Knoxville to get the part that I needed. I am from out of town, here on vacation. They got me back on the road. Great bunch of people at that dealership. Super nice. I wish they were in my hometown. KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK.
