My family and I were out of town on vacation when our alternator failed, and we had no idea where to go or what to do. We stopped at AutoZone, and they recommended Ace Automotive. They were kind enough to take a look right away and replace our alternator, saving our vacation and allowing us to enjoy the rest of the week worry-free. Their service was excellent, fast, reliable, and genuinely kind. If we’re ever in that situation again in Tennessee, we know exactly where to go! Thank you so much again!

Bought a 2007 FJ Cruiser. There was a bit of a clunk in rear when driving slow and hitting bump or rut. D and R looked at it and texted me with their findings. I was hoping for a couple of hundred to maybe $500. I figured maybe rear bearings. They told me both rear bearings and both axles need replacing. 😳😳😳 a few dollars from $3700 was their estimate 😳😳😳😳!! I was in disbelief!!?? I asked if they give disabled veteran discount. They were kind enough to knock $700+ off. 🙄 I told them I have no choice and to order parts. After about an hour of calling other shops and getting 3 over the phone estimates that ranged from $1500 down to $1000, I told D and R to cancel the order. When I went to pick my FJ up, they shot me a line “Uhhhh, well you also have a leak and we were gonna fix that too”.😳😳 They actually charged me $100 plus tax to tell me these lies. I took it to the shop that quoted me $1000. They got to my FJ the next day. Gave me a call and told me my FJ was ready. Told me he checked everything underneath front and back. Told me hearing are good and axles are good. Told me the clunking noise was coming from a traction bar that he tightened up. Also told me the tires are good but are wearing a bit different and that I should have them rotated and alignment done (this particular shop did not do alignments) Needless to say I was very happy but also very pissed! I asked what the $damages$ are and they said $65.85 counting tax. This particular garage is TJs Automotive in Sevierville Tn. The next day I took my FJ to Sevierville Tire and they rotated tires and did the alignment. Total cost was a few cents over $131s After saving $2700+s my FJ handles like new and ZERO clunking in the rear. Be careful folks!! There are crooks out there! But if you’re considering D and R Automotive, DONT!! So go to TJs. Then after you pay your bill, take the money you saved by not going to D and R and buy your kid their first car!!

My usual mechanic was out and he recommended D&R Auto Repair to investigate the noise my steering column was making. I called, they said I could come in that same morning; within 2 hours of my arrival they had diagnosed the problem, ordered the part, received the part, and made the repair! Smooth sailing now, the fast turnaround is very appreciated!

We ran over a bunch on stuff on the highway on accident, and they were able to inspect the vehicle the next day and refer me to an exhaust shop that could weld. 10/10, very kind to me. I appreciate the good attitude, as I was very stressed about the whole situation. They were courteous, honest and very good people. Would recommend to anyone.
