Disclaimer: My block and head are currently at the shop. This review is solely about my current service, but I will update about the work when everything is completed. From what I can tell Hitches has very skilled employees who can do great work, and based on some research and experiences of people I know, I chose to come here. When I called before bringing in my components, I was told it would be roughly a month before they could get around to it, which was understandable since they did state they had 13 motors ahead of mine. It’s getting closer to 3 months now. However, I’m not overly concerned about this because I know this kind of job isn’t the easiest. Yet, I am ready to have this completed, so that I can get my car back on the road. I have called a few times to check on the progress and was greeted friendly enough on the phone. The work I am having done is expected to be pretty pricey, not because of labor costs but just the parts I am wanting to have installed. Hitches quoted labor costs are extremely reasonable, and honestly were some of the lowest I could find in 100 miles. My block has two cylinders that will need bored and possibly sleeved depending on the extent of the damage. Hitches is also preparing the entire short block using only the original crank. The pistons, rings, and rods are all being upgraded to forged steel parts. The head was originally worked on by another shop, but is getting a once-over by Hitches and also appears to need to have the buckets machined to fit the new cams. Again, I am hopefully to have this all completed soon, and will update my review in the near future about the quality of work and service provided to me. But for now, I will give them a 4/5. Pictures are of the dissembled motor before any work has been done. I will update with the finished work so that everyone can get a sense of the quality of work from Hitches as well as hopefully my excitement! Edit: I fired up the motor the other day and everything sounded well. Hitch repair services did a fantastic job and were reasonably priced. Just be aware that they seem to be extremely busy and is not a place to go if you’re looking for a very quick turnaround.

Hitch built to LM 318/392 Chrysler stroker engines for me in 2016. One blew head gaskets 3 times in six years. They were in a cruiser. Spent most of the time at 2,000 rpm or less putting around the lake. After the 3rd blown head gasket we pulled both motors out and disassembled them. There so much stuff built incorrectly the paragraph is not big enough! Cannot recommend them for Mopar rebuilds!

Went to get my head refreshed and the guys told me it’d be 2 weeks before they even touch it, week later it’s sitting on my desk all shiny and nice, waited till after I slapped it on my car to leave this review, the guys were super friendly, super cool and explained to me how everything worked and what exactly they did to the head. I was running on 3.5 cylinders before but we’re back to 4 bangin thanks to hitch auto repair!! also, I’ve called around to every machine shop within the local area, this place has the best prices.

Great services that are hard to find anymore. Local honest people. Would always recommend!!
