Attkisson Automotive did a fantastic job fixing the brakes on my 2021 Jeep Wrangler. Attkisson did a thorough inspection of the entire vehicle and identified an issue with the calipers. Attkisson was able to make the repairs and get my vehicle back to me quickly and at a reasonable price. It is difficult to find an independent repair shop you trust without having to bring your vehicle to a dealership. Attkisson provides the quality and professionalism of a dealership without the dealership costs.

Beware!! I made an huge mistake in taking my car to this auto repair shop. Extremely overpriced. Labor rates not listed anywhere, not posted in the shop and not even listed on the invoice. Items were allegedly replaced that were not needed. Jacked up prices at every possible turn. They broke something in my car and then charged me for that too!! Exaggerated time claimed for labor at over $150 per hour - which they finally admitted to after asking, and parts are doubled in price!! Be especially wary if you are older or female!!! You will be ripped off, and like me, will likely not be given a written estimate beforehand to have the option of leaving! You may also be told “we’ve already started the work”! You too may be called mentally incompetent if you question the bill, what was s supposedly done, or dare to ask the hourly rate!!! The big secret!! Hourly rate for labor!! Sadly, this is the type of place that gives a bad name to good, honest and fair mechanics. Terrible experience. Go elsewhere!!!

I'm writing this on behalf of my mother who brought her 22 year-old-vehicle for service and was billed $2311 for repairing a timing belt (water-pump kit), cleaning manifold covers, replacing some cheap gaskets, some drive belts, and hoses. Oh yes, and $65 for rags and cleaning supplies. By the way, my mother's car is worth about $4000. Do they do good work? Well, let's put it this way. You could go to a shop in Beverly Hills and pay less money than these folks would charge, I’ve done it. They took my mother, charmed her, promised her the moon, encouraged her sign a document, and did not provide her an estimate. I'm quite certain they didn't because I was with her the entire day (on 6/15/2026). The promised they would call and let her know how much it would be. They finally emailed her a cost estimate 7.5 hours after she gave them the car (4:03pm, she had dropped the car off at 8:30am). My mother was furious and was in disbelief. “Why didn’t you tell me how much it would cost?” “Well, ma’am, I can email you an invoice.” After she expressed her frustration and shock, they provided her a paltry $100 discount for being a nurse, yes she spent 50 years saving people's lives, and waved a $65 rag fee. They charge you extra to clean. They charge $152 (and change)/hour, and they do not post this in the shop, they then up-charge their parts 100% over retail (a matrix, Steve, the office attendant says), and then boom, they go to work. They never called until 90% of the work was done and they only called to say: "we broke an engine mount, I mean, we found an engine mount broken, yes, that's right, we found it broken, another $58." When I confronted "Steve" and his friend "Parker," he said "we told your mother everything, and told her the price, she agreed to everything, was happy about it, and said....... yes." They did NO such thing. When pressed further Steve said, "SO WHAT if she didn't get an estimate, she was here in the store and she signed a form authorizing the repair." Ahhh, there we go, that's how we do business at Attkisson automotive? He later accused my mother of being mentally incompetent because he didn’t like being caught in a lie. We ended the conversation this way: Steve: "You're not getting your car, I'm not losing my job, I don't make any decisions, I have Parker next to me who will back me up, my boss is at the doctor with her daughter and she's not available to talk to you.” Myself: I hope you don't treat your mother the way you've treated mine!" I paid the fee myself. Tomorrow I'm going to take this car to another mechanic to verify they did the work properly. I don't live in the area, I'm visiting from out of town and this is the first negative review I've ever written and I feel disgusted for having to write it. Don’t do business with these folks unless they give you an exact invoice and do not allow them to charge you for extras.

Let me start by saying that Mikey and the gang at Attkinson Automotive are top-notch professionals. I took my POC Toyota truck to them for diagnostics for an issue that I had been taking to two other somewhat reputable Warranty Shop’s and after a good thorough investigation, they found the issue and repaired it immediately. If you want your vehicle taken well care of, inspected properly, and repaired the right way, you need to take your vehicle to Attkinson Automotive. You will not be disappointed.

Took my Jeep to Attkinson. First time I had used them after several people had recommended them to me. Definitely will be using them in the future. Felt they were very honest and trustworthy.
