Fox Toyota Service Department

I usually don’t post reviews, but after my second bad experience with their service department, I feel like I should. The first issue was when I paid to have my tires balanced and later realized the service had not even been done. I had to go back and have them correct it. The second issue was even more frustrating. I called ahead to confirm that a set of wheels and tires would fit my car, and I was told by a “service expert” that they would work with no problem. Based on that information, I took a day off work and had my stepdad help me pick them up. After taking them to Fox Toyota to have them installed, I received a call saying the wheels and tires would not work for my car. If I hadn’t specifically asked beforehand, this situation would be different. But I relied on the information given by their staff. Now I’m out $650 and a PTO day because of incorrect advice from their service department. Needless to say, this has been a very frustrating experience. I realize this review may not mean much to them, but I want to make other customers aware. If you’re given advice about parts or services, you may want to double-check the information before relying on it.

I have been buying cars from Fox and having them serviced here for over 30 years. Our sales guy, Tim Jennings, is the best! The service department was great UNTIL the Fox family sold out. Now, the service department is always pushing something to make more money. It’s a running joke in the waiting room. I’ve had cabin filter change recommendations that I turned down and when I got home I checked and the cabin filter was clean. I have to keep coming to maintain the power train warranty but if I didn’t I’d be going somewhere else for the routine services. They make recommendations solely based on the computer telling them it’s time for this or that.

We finally hit our first 5000 miles on our 2023 4Runner as we were on our way to Fox Toyota for our first service on it. Thank you Chris G. Our service representative for taking good care of us. Thank you to the team for all of the services that we requested and the regular service that came with the first 5000 miles. And it was great seeing some of the first people we met when we made our purchase in October 2023. We love our 4Runner. Thank you Fox Toyota.

I 100% got ripped off today. I had a check engine light with an EVAP system code. Confirmed to me after waiting an hour that it was not the gas cap. I was told I would need a $170 smoke test. Was told after another hour "no leak detected". They proceeded to place a new $35 gas gap on the car and it fixed the problem. I consented to the test so I paid for it. I have had multiple routine services done here between 2 vehicles. I will not be returning. Losing a repeat customer over $170 is bad business.

Had trouble with the AC on my brand new Sienna wheelchair van. Cold air froze us out on LO, hot air burned my toes on anything else. They gave me a really nice loaner truck while they fixed it. Great job!! Photo is of the loaner truck from Enterprise. Customer service and satisfaction!
