By 2024, complaint volume had dropped sharply to 68, and while steering still leads, the specific issue shifted to steering rack problems (19 occurrences) rather than sticking or locking. A forward collision avoidance system failure was the second most common complaint (11), followed by steering wheel sticking during high-speed driving (9), recall parts unavailability (8), and general electrical system issues (6). No safety-rated clusters appear in either year, and no NHTSA recall campaigns are attached to this model in the data at all.

The steering theme carrying across both years — first as sticking and locking, then as rack issues — suggests this is a system worth paying close attention to on a test drive, particularly at highway speed where several of the complaints specifically occurred. The good news is that neither year shows a safety-rated pattern or an open recall tied to it. Still, it's worth remembering that these are complaints owners chose to file with NHTSA, not a measured failure rate, and the newer 2024 model year has simply had less time on the road to accumulate reports than the 2023. A mechanic's inspection focused on steering feel, plus a clean service history, will tell you more than the complaint count by itself.
