John is an "old school" mechanic who had the knowledge and skill set to replace the leaking valve cover on my BMW x1. He researched the parts required and sent me a quote which was 30% less than what BMW wanted for that job. As the work progressed he sent me photos. He downloaded the torque specs and tightening sequence for the 19 bolts that secure the cover to the engine. This is critical since the cover is plastic and wrong torque will crack it or cause oil leaks. Unlike most service centers he is happy to talk to the customer and explain the job. I highly recommend John for his professionalism and skill as a mechanic.
