I am a freight broker who's truck I hired was involved in an accident nearby in harrisonburg PA. The trailer of said truck was towed here after the accident with a customer of mines product on it. I had spoken to Shane mainly for the majority of the day as we came up with a plan to have a new truck come in and he was going to unload the damage trailer with my customers product on it and reload the new trailer so we were able to deliver it to its original destination. All was well said I would obviously compensate for the trouble and he would like me know the amount later never specified what so ever no estimate or anything for the sort ( which is industry standard.) To my surprise for roughly 5 hours of work he ultimately was charging us $4,080 total to unload and reload the trailer. I've been in this industry for 6 years now and I have never paid anywhere remotely close to that amount for a similar situation. (Average would be $700-$2000 depending on the severity) I expressed my concern about the price and then asked him to explain the breakdown for me and he siad the pays his guys $145 an hour (definitely is not paying them that much) to unload and reload the trailer and gave me rough times of when they approximately started and when they approximately are going to end (no proof of those times) which didn't add up ultimately then proceeded to add on another $600 dock fee because he could. He let me know the price while he was in the middle of loading the truck. I let him know that I would have to get approval from a manager of mine in order to pay that much as we weren't even remotely close to thinking we would pay that and his tone immediately changed and he proceeded to tell me " He was just going to have his guys unload the trailer and we would deal with this issue on Tuesday and send his guys home if I wanted to go that route" while we had been going back and forth finalizing details and specifics all morning / afternoon and was completely cordial up until that point. I asked if we could negotiate the price down to make it more reasonable and again his tone switched "If you need this done this is what is costs. You let me know what you want to do so i can tell my guys to unload your truck or not" He knew I was in a desperate situation in order to avoid a situation where I wasn't wanting to loose out on roughly $40,000 worth of product to my customer so I was willing to eat the $4,100 in order to service the customer and not worry about not brining food on the table for my family. Sacrifice a good chunk now so I don't loose an even bigger chunk later. So he ultimately took advantage of the situation and charged whatever he deemed fit. Be careful with these people and pray they don't find you in a desperate situation because they will definitely make you pay for it.

I can't say enough about River Drives wrecker service. From the prompt front desk to the service manager Shane to the technician Jimmy. All 5 stars. They got out me of jam to say the least! And on top of all this they are the best price around!

Only did a star so i can do a review….got in an accident this past Sunday and ig after they towed my car and left it at the shop my car caught on fire so they say. Here comes Wednesday (after me, my friend, and my friends mom called them multiple times) they never told me it caught on fire and had me looking for my car in the lot to realize it was burned completely. I understand 4am on the weekend will be more but $650 for towing plus $65 a day is crazy!!!!

THANK YOU, THANK YOU RIVER DRIVE SERVICE!!!!! Had an issue with our 40ft Class A diesel pusher RV as we were venturing from Florida to Vermont. Involved getting a tough to find part. (……A valve to regulate air between the air bag and the leveling system.) First highly rated truck repair facility contacted in Greensboro correctly diagnosed our problem (but …. They were sent the wrong part, and gave up on getting the correct one- and just put our old bad part back in and sent us on our way!) In a few days, further down the road, I was able to get the correct part delivered to me from Spartan, and was very fortunate to discover River Drive Repair in Harrisburg, just off interstate 81 (which was along the route we were taking to Vermont) which agreed to take my RV in without having an appointment. They couldn't promise anything except that they would do there best to squeeze me in that same day. In all honesty, over 4 decades of RVing with 4 different RV’s the service we received from Greg and his stellar friendly team exceeded any prior repair experience. This shop had some exceptionally impressive advanced hydraulic jacks which I had never seen elsewhere. We were in an out within a few hours, and the price was very reasonable. I sincerely wish they were close to our homebase. River Drive Service is THE BEST!

Awesome experience! I had a driver breakdown near Harrisburg. The tensioner pulley failed and took out the belt and the truck was overheating. I called at 7am and Shane answered. He was very polite and helpful. They drove to Lebanon to pick up the tensioner and then back to Harrisburg to get the belt and replace the parts. They had the driver rolling again as quickly as they could and their prices were (in my experience) VERY reasonable.
