I can't recommend this shop enough. Dan, Andy and the rest of the crew are friendly and incredibly knowledgeable and competent. They rebuilt the transmission on my old Alfa, along with rewiring all the accessories and headlights to perfect working order. I'm a very happy customer.
View on GoogleDan is amazing! I brought my classic 1971 Super Beetle to his shop to install a rebuilt carb and distributor and he put it all back together in no time! It only took one day and my bug now drives like a dream! Looking forward to him working on my 79 VW bus!
View on GoogleHad a car with a Coustom multi link suspension where every link could be adjusted only 3 of the 5 links were adjustable on the original OE setup. None of the other local shops I had been to were able to set it up correctly. Rob at Fowler was able to dial me in perfect. The car drives awesome now. He got the stance and overall offsett perfect! So not only does it handle it looks great. I will ne going back for any of my oddball classic cars, or track car setups. Very pleased super quality place. Not cheep but worth every penny.
View on GoogleWas referred to Dan Fowler by the local Porsche CCA members, whom all spoke highly of Dan. Came in major project: to replace a VCG, Serpentine Belt, Oil change. Was quoted that it would be $1,000- $1,200. Vehicle was dropped off, and had regular updates on the progress, but never any indication that work would cost more (other than needing a few more spare parts). Thought it would be over budget due to the extra parts, but got the call that the car was complete. Told it would be $2,500: more than double the initial estimate, and more than a dealership would charge for by the book. He then countered saying it actually should have been $3,300. I had to uncomfortably haggle with Dan after the work was already complete. On pickup, he was nice about it and claimed the labor was double charged. Could have been an easy excuse- but not sure. We agreed on a middle ground- which I appreciated. He had the parts out and showed everything that was repaired, which was great. However, still was uneasy about everything that went down. Even worse, a day after the service, my vehicle starting make odd sounds at idle. I figured it was due to the cold. Cars are machines, they make noise. I gave it a few days. I checked my oil and find out that it was overfilled by more than two quarts, which is extremely dangerous and may cause engine damage. Not sure how that even happens when a veteran mechanic is charging a premium to go over the car. Had to have my oil re-drained and new oil filled by a different place. After this, I can’t say I’d recommend Dan nor return. I hope this is not representative of his work or business practices.
View on GoogleAbsolutely terrible., unless you want to Hear Dan Complain and groan on how he hates to work on Porsche Boxsters. Had a check engine light come on . Warning came back on in a few days as Dan said it would. Had the Boxster in to be hand washed at a body shop they found a vac hose disconnected, they fixed the error Dan, just reset the error code without fixing the problem
