Foreign Traffic Import Sales & Service

(Edit 3/2026) Just wanted to reply to the company. First, responding 6 months later should be enough said. Second, you shouldn't be selling a car you haven't serviced yet. Third, you can post the receipt showing you paid, I said you covered part of the repair while I paid for the rest, which is true. You asked me to remove the review and I thought about it, but then decided I wouldn't because that was my honest experience. Wishing your business the best, and I'm sure every customer will have a different experience than I did. (Update 7/2025) Editing my review from 5 stars to 1 star. While the initial car buying experience was smooth, the aftermath with this dealership has been disappointing. I purchased the TTRS and was unaware that it had a cracked gas tank, which they should've caught before listing the car for sale, and then drove it 7 hours back home... yikes. I only discovered this issue after taking the car to my nearest Audi dealership. Thankfully, Foreign Traffic did cover part of the repair through my local Audi dealer, but I was still left to pay the remainder. Beyond that, I found several other issues I wasn’t told about: fluids that were completely black, aftermarket mid-pipes despite being told they were stock, and the car being tuned when I was told it was stock. I understand these cars are rarely found 100% factory, but honesty and transparency should have been the priority. To make matters worse, I never received the floor mats or the missing seat button that were promised to me in writing. If you’re not going to honor that, don’t provide a receipt stating otherwise. Overall, this lack of transparency and follow through left me with a very negative experience. (Initial review 7/2025) I had an amazing experience buying my car from this dealership! I flew in from out of state, and they were kind enough to wait for my flight to land and stayed open after hours just to make sure I was taken care of. The entire team was friendly and professional. Even after I drove back home to Chicago, they followed up to make sure the drive went smoothly and are even sending me floor mats at no extra cost. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a great car buying experience!

I'm always impressed with the way Foreign Traffic handles my service needs. They always keep me updated with what's happening with my car and are very knowledgeable when I ask detailed questions about the repairs. The work gets done right at a good price. The loaner cars make it much easier to fit the work into my schedule - it's so much better than waiting around for the work to get done, although it's always fun to look at the Ferraris, Porsches, and McLarens in the showroom.

I purchased a BMW out of state and the experience was outstanding. The contracting paperwork was simple and straight forward and executed very fast (Shout out to Lisa). The vehicle was delivered in a high-end covered transport on-time and at a very fair rate. The biggest shout-out to Rob who showed true integrity throughout the process and went above and beyond. Vehicle showed up with fantastic wash detail, new front tires (was not part of negotiation), and a full tank of gas. Would purchase here again in a heartbeat!

People in SERVICE are AMAZING!! . Sales department is just AWFUL! At SERVICE, work is done efficiently and people are very professional, thoughtful and kind. However, I was EXTREMELY disappointed with sales department. While I waiting at service department for about an hour - the Sales Manager/ Owner Rob (apparently different departments and companies ) in the facility had his speaker phone on REALLY loud. It reminded me if corporate cubicle world when an individual has his phone on loud speaker and couldn’t care less if it is disturbing others in the area. First he had a a whole conversation with someone talking about a guy who was only hyper fixated on cars and should just really appreciate his life and grandchildren and not think he’s a young guy when he’s actually really old - like in his 90’s (snicker, snicker). Next the sales call switched to car auction bidding that everyone in building could hear. The speed and voice of auctioneer was such a constant stream of loud noise that I couldn’t think straight. I very politely asked him if he could possibly turn down the speaker phone a just bit as I was working. He was VERY rude and pompously told me that he was in the process of buying $million dollar cars so he couldn’t . So he needed to keep speaker phone on and couldn’t turn it down much at all. I told him I needed to work too. Based on this extremely rude interaction with him, I will not be looking at purchasing ANY vehicle from him. It doesn’t seem like he cares about anyone else (including others who share his space) and whatever happened to using ear pods?? I couldn’t trust him to buy a car from him when he doesn’t look out for potential customers interests . I asked service if they could do anything about it . They couldn’t as it was a different department and Rob in sales was a different business and owner but they share common space . Lisa from service office was working on taxes on tax day even offered me her office which was extremely sweet and helpful. I took her up on her kind offer. The service person profusely apologized even though it was not their fault. Unprompted, they did not charge me for my car inspection service. I asked them “ Are you sure ?” They were sure. I thanked then for their kindness even though it wasn’t their fault at all. I walked out shocked that I could have such a different experience with service vs. sales. Same building, different experiences with different departments. I will definitely go back for service but never go there to buy a car.

Foreign Traffic is a first rate operation. I recently booked an appointment for an oil change and inspection on a Porsche I own. The entire experience was seamless from booking, to loaner car, to the actual service performed. Pricing is reasonable and significantly less compared to a dealership. I highly recommend this business to anyone owning a Porsche or other higher end foreign brand.
