NTB-National Tire & Battery

To BOB GROVE- district manager . This is not the first incident (I’ve had three) with this Ntb, including broken tire sensor, completely forgot to do an alignment and had to bring it back. This was the first two incidents. The third was by far the worse when I went in for a routine oil change, after leaving Ntb and making it seven minutes down 256 when I pulled into my driveway I smelt a terrible burning smell then I realized there was oil dumping all over the place on my newly built homes concrete driveway. It was towed back to Ntb and the next day A technician called me as if it was no big deal that somehow an oil cooler broke in my car, but it’s very common and and they said they will take care of the $1400 job for me. Personally, knowing a former Ntb manager, I contacted him and he said that they would never offer to do that type of work for free unless it was neglect on their end, but Ntb made me feel as though they were doing me a ““ favor when there was nothing wrong with my oil cooler or any signs that there was prior to especially bringing it to this Ntb a couple of times before and nothing was ever noted that there was any oil leaking. I reached out to the district manager he said he would fix our driveways and compensate us, but as soon as I mentioned, wanting to take it to Jeep because at this point, I did not trust this establishment to service my vehicle after three bad experiences, the district manager got very angry, as if we did something wrong, and said that he would no longer fix the vehicle. He would not compensate me for it. He would not compensate us for ruining our driveway. I was shocked at this level of Customer Service especially when there was no issue pulling my car in until there was an issue when I pulled it out immediately just driving it down the road for a routine oil change. I had to then pay for a tow to Jeep. I was without a car for eight days and it cost me $1550 out-of-pocket and there was no resolution from this company to make it right. Jeep stated that what happened was when the oil change was done inaccurately it put too much pressure through the motor (The drain plug was either not appropriately plugged or the oil filter was not put on correctly) which is what caused the oil cooler to crack. This was complete neglect on their end and I will NEVER BE BACK. I’ve told many friends and families in the Pickerington community and I would like everyone to beware of how they handle such a matter. It was a huge inconvenience to our family with small children without a vehicle and money that we did not have to spend. Terrible experience & I will continue to press the issue.

I had my muffler hanging down under my car and came in ti NTB. They took care of me right away, and were able to fix the problem pretty quickly. Otis was one of the staff who greeted me and checked the car outside, and said they’d be able to fix it that day. I was very relieved and happy to get it fixed so quickly. Highly recommend this shop & all 3 staff I encountered were very professional & helpful.

Great shop! I stopped in because I had something stuck in my tire, and the team took care of it right away. Everyone was friendly, professional, and had me back on the road in no time. I really appreciate the excellent service and highly recommend them!

I took my car in for a brake inspection because I heard sounds when backing from my driveway. I’m a mature woman in my late 50’s and I was grateful that the technicians did not take advantage of my gender, age, and lack of knowledge about cars. They gave me a great review about my car along with a few suggestions for services to consider later. They were professional and took time to explain the suggestions, while assuring me that my car was in very good condition. Otis, at the Baltimore-Reynoldsburg Road location was particularly helpful. I cannot express just how much I appreciated their honesty. I also witnessed them giving other patrons splendid customer service.

Will be a customer for a long time & will recommend them to everyone I know. Had a blowout on 70 during rush hour. They got me taken care of immediately around 4:30pm. Was able to get a new tire & they made a very stressful time, way easier to deal with. The man who checked me in & helped me with my tire purchase was exceptionally wonderful. Thank You!!
