Years ago, I bought two other brands of rebuilt transmissions. They both failed quickly. Then, we paid the higher price for a far superior transmission from Jasper. It was rugged and reliable. Amazing concept: they rebuild used equipment, and redesign parts better than original to fix the weak areas. Now my son may need to do that with an engine.We will buy a Jasper if it comes to that…!!!😊😊😊😊
View on GoogleI was pricing a new transmission for my truck I have never purchased a transmission from Jasper Engines before, but I have helped two of my friends that have purchased engines from Jasper before and we had no issues with those engines whatsoever so I can speak to the quality of their engine rebuilds, which I would say are excellent. If I decide to put a new transmission in my truck and I buy it from Jasper I'll give you a transmission review after I drive it for a few months.
View on Googlehorrible did not deliver parts when we were told we would have them they sent me a bad programmer box this was a 1 day job to swap out and it has been almost a week with no results huge headache to deal with I say run run away fast don't waste your time with them if you want service or results I wish i could give them negative stars. We were also told to drill the flywheel to make their transmission work on our van
View on GoogleI normally only spread positivity but in this case, I am spreading a warning. 3 years, 100,000 mile warranty, remanufactured motor. 40,000 / 2 years, motor catastrophic failure; after months of diagnostic tests, they replace it. 20,000 miles, 1 year later, bent rod, slammed lifter. Jaspers offer, 8% a new motor. Sorry, cant buy another when you wont stand behind 2 that have failed on me. Save your time and money, go another route. Rebuild what you have DONT USE JASPER. Keep in mind, they are honoring their warranty; just shallow on standing behind their terrible product. PS, it wouldnt let me post with no stars so there is that!
View on GoogleOn August 3, 2012 I purchased a rebuilt motor from Jasper Engines & Transmissions $3456.32 and to replace the long block added $1360 in labor charges. The limited warranty was for 3 years/100,000 miles. (Stock #137610 and Production #202731) Then on October 24, 2014, that engine also died. The next engine was free(ish) but I paid $929.68 for strut mount stud plate/kit and labor to replace the motor. Apparently, the second motor (third for the car) does not come with it's own warranty and after about 20,000 miles, it too, dies. So when my car died again, on August 26, 2016, I am again supposed to pay for engines that don't seem to last two years when I expected it to last over 100,000 miles. Oh wait...Woody (at ext 10994) offered me a 9% discount for a new/remanufactured engine.
