I just went to get my inspection done at Yonkers Discount Tire and it literally took under 10 minutes. Inspections are usually something you want to put off until the very last second because they feel like such a hassle, but this was incredibly quick and easy. Definitely the smoothest experiences I’ve had!

I had a very disappointing and uncomfortable experience at this place when I went with my mother to get her car inspected. From the moment we arrived, the owner displayed a rude and unprofessional attitude. He was extremely disrespectful toward both of us, and it quickly became clear that his behavior was influenced by the fact that my mother, the car’s owner, does not speak English. Instead of showing patience or basic courtesy, he was dismissive and rude. When I tried to ask a simple question, he abruptly called me disrespectful, claiming I was interrupting him on the phone even though he was not visibly engaged in any call. The entire interaction felt aggressive, unwelcoming, and discriminatory. No customer should be treated this way, especially over something as simple as a language barrier. I would strongly advise others to avoid this place and take their business somewhere that values respect and professionalism.

The shop was messy, dirty, and very unorganized. I should have trusted the recent negative Google reviews—unfortunately, they were accurate.

This shop is great. I've come here several times for my last car and now my current one. The staff is friendly and remembers you. The guy at the front desk, Joe, always takes the time to explain what's wrong with the car, why it happened, what they want to do, and he always makes an effort to find the most affordable option for you. If you're looking for a local shop with good prices, good service, and almost always available to see you, this is your place!
