First Class Auto Repair

I can't review the auto shop service but I can tell you this was the worst tow experience I've ever had. Going through my insurance company, they chose the vendor for the tow and texted me updates regarding arrival, etc., so I never dealt directly with First Class prior to the driver showing up. Once the driver showed up, after an hour and a half wait, he was the rudest, laziest, most obnoxious tow driver I've ever dealt with. Not only was he in the wrong place and I had to find him, but he tried to tell me he didn't have a winch to pull the car onto the bed and the car needed to be driven up the bed. If I could drive the car, I wouldn't have called a tow truck. He continued to try to convince me that "it would be fine" and it only needed to be started for "a few minutes" even though I repeatedly said no, since the car was smoking and leaking transmission fluid. It's also an old classic muscle car, so I would never take the chance of causing more damage just so this lazy fool didn't have to use the machinery - cause we all know he was lying. No one sends a truck to pick up a classic car and it doesn't have a winch. Not only that but he refused to get out of the truck to speak with me, made me stand outside his half rolled down tinted window and yell a conversation over the truck idling, while continuously telling me he doesn't have a winch. Knowing he was lying, I walked away, called another tow company and called my insurance company to lodge a complaint. Unfortunately, for the owner of this company who may be a great mechanic, he is now getting a bad review for the behavior of someone who poorly represents his company. No one should be disrespected, by themselves, at night while they are stuck with their car, after waiting an hour and a half for someone who is supposed to be helping them. I would not trust to use this company for tows again and I hope my insurance company takes the complaint seriously and uses another vendor. And to the owner, I'm sorry if this review doesn't accurately represent how you normally do business, but you should also take the complaint seriously and hire more competent people to run your tow trucks after hours.

I’ve been going to Nick At First Class Auto for over 20 years. He has done my oil changes, water pump, timing belt, exhaust, brakes, tires, alternator, ac compressor and oil leaks on my cars. Honest, very fair prices (many times has not charged me and others). He cares which makes the difference. He will always be in business because he’s good.

For some bizarre reason my Outlander Sport wouldn't start the next morning after parking it. Since I have Car Shield, I arranged for roadside-side assistance. They arranged for the vehicle to be towed to Meineke for repair by First Class Auto Care. To my surprise, they arrived with a flatbed truck the next morning as scheduled. The vehicle was brand new and in pristine condition. Though just a few months old, the truck had over 22,000 miles under the hood. You would not know it given how well the vehicle was maintained. Chris, the driver, was very polite and professional. He attempted to diagnose the car's engine start problem and arrived at two possible conclusions: the alternator or a fuel line issue. The ride to Meineke was very comfortable, I didn't want to leave the vehicle. Since Car Shield covered the towing cost, I didn't have to come out of pocket. (Shout out to Car Shield) Let's see if they also cover the repair cost as well...more on that later. If you need a reliable and dependable towing service in the metro New York area, I highly recommend First Class Auto Care for dependability and affordable pricing.

This is one of the classics! Nick is one of the honest shop owners around. He works with ppl like me that are just trying to get by. And the service is the best! Nick and his team or knowledgeable and as a owner Nick makes sure that the job is done right. You will not regret choosing him.
