We visited for sledding at 10 AM and noticed some room for improvement regarding the check-in process. Although we were already inside the lodge and the only customers present, the staff member asked us to step back outside into the cold to check in through the exterior window. To improve the guest experience, it would be helpful if staff were empowered to check guests in from inside the lobby when possible, or if an interior service window were installed. Making guests stand outside in the cold when they are already indoors feels unnecessary and unwelcoming. While I understand there may be protocols for window service, enforcing them when a guest is already inside - and it is cold out - creates a poor first impression. I suggest allowing indoor check-ins during low-traffic times or cold weather to prioritize customer comfort. While we expected a luxury experience, we found the resort lacked the upscale atmosphere advertised. During the Christmas season, the decor -especially at the tubing area - was surprisingly minimal. For a property marketed as a luxury destination, the presentation was disappointing. During our visit, we noticed construction materials and miscellaneous debris left in plain sight around the guest areas. This gave the resort an unfinished, 'work-in-progress' feel that is inconsistent with an upscale experience. The tubes provided were in poor condition - old, visibly dirty, and poorly maintained. They did not meet the cleanliness standards one would expect at this price point. The tubes were old, dirty and plain disgusting. I've never seen tubes as ugly as here. We also encountered several safety and operational issues. The wood used in fire pits produced heavy black smoke, making it difficult to breathe and sit nearby. The plastic seating provided was basic and removed shortly after. Unlike other resorts that push tubes, the staff here pulls them by a rope. This caused safety incidents where a rope came close to my child’s neck and struck me in the head. The spinning method also caused us to cross into other lanes. The rubber mats at the end of the run were wrinkled, causing my husband to overturn and fall. Furthermore, the snow barriers at the end of the run felt insufficient, as he nearly went over the edge and had to use his limbs to stop. We frequently visit Wilmot Mountain in WI, and suggest looking into their safety and guest service models as a benchmark for a great tubing experience.

Tubes kept getting stuck on the first hill and way before the end of the 2nd part. Making the kids have to walk and dodge other heavier riders. Could use a better tube return for younger guests to be able to return to the top safer
View on GoogleWe had a great time. I booked our tickets months ago so we really were hoping for the best weather wise. There was no natural snow but they made plenty so the hills were all ready to go. It was icy and slick so we zoomed down quickly. The kids had a great time. We went during two different time slots on a Saturday. The 11a slot was packed and we didn't get to go down too many times. The 3p slot had very few people and we got to go down around 10 times over the course of an hour. The food in the cabin is unsurprisingly overpriced and low quality but my expectations weren't high so it was fine. Overall I'm glad we went. We are not a ski family but we really enjoyed this weekend getaway.
View on GoogleCame here Saturday 1/18/2025! Bought tickets for 55 / ticket 1 month in advance. Had a 10 am reservation. Go early! We went down the hill over 14 times and we were late for our reservation. Have a cute little lodge to grab coffee and a snack if you need it.
