Take 5 Oil Change

Absolutely awful and dangerous experience at this place. These two hapless kids on a Saturday night could not get my oil filter off, and they damaged the living daylight out of it, leaving me in an extremely precarious situation. So not only could they not provide the service that their shop specializes in, they left my car in a very dangerous state. I went to a different non Take 5 garage and they were able to remove the filter. Will not return here!!!!

Absolutely loved the service, speed, security and super pricing at take five. I pulled in for an oil change, was given a nice cool water to sip on, and my vehicle was a valuated and a very timely fashion. It was noted that my coolant was dirty and not measuring well on its ability to do the job so I was able to add a coolant flush to my synthetic oil change and my car is up and running. All of my tires are checked, and up to the right pressure, my windshield washer fluid is filled as well. It’s a great place to go.

I wish that I could give a 4.5 instead of a 4. Good service, very friendly. A bit slower than I expected though performed carefully and thoroughly. Only opened here a short time ago so the efficiency should improve. Prices seem high though a 50% discount is in effect. At the time I am writing this, there are four other reviews: three 5 star and one 1 star over the two or three weeks the business has been open. In my opinion, early reviews should be carefully evaluated. Excellent reviews could be employees or friends of the owner, and bad reviews could be the result of the reviewer being denied a discount in exchange for an excellent review. Keep in mind that the rest of us end up paying for those discounts, and recently opened businesses are more likely to fall victim to this practice. IMHO, the single bad review sounds too horrible to be true, though it's possible that either the business or the reviewer were having a bad day. Take all reviews with a grain of salt, but especially when there are only a few.

They take a bit longer than one would expect but people are friendly and professional. Still they advertise a price and charge another. I ordered 'premium' type of oil change for high mileage (advertised for 89.99) and charged 102. They did apply the %50 discount they offer (be careful it only applies to some types of oil change!) but ... I cannot give more than 2 stars when they charge you something different from advertised, unfortunately. Just make sure you confirm the total you'll be charged before they do the change -even when the price is on a sign in front of you- and you will okay.

Decided to take a break from Firestone and the Kia Dealer, took a shot with this place. James was great, service was quick and courteous. Pricing was super transparent too, no gimmicks.
