I’ve been going to Sweeneys for my car maintenance needs for 6-7 years now. They are very polite, honest, and professional. I was always the person that wouldn’t let anyone touch my car, other than the car dealership. Save yourself the inconvenience making appointments with dealships, save yourself with dealerships wanting to upsell you everything. You won’t be disappointed going to Sweeneys! They are great!

My brother told me come to his mechanic Phil. He was amazing & honest! I would recommend him to everyone. The receptionist Laura was so kind & friendly. This will be my new place for any of my car problems! Thank you so much Philip for helping me & my family!

My boyfriend made an appointment for a nys inspection a week in advance. The day comes, we drop off his car before business hours like we've done dozens of times at Sweeney's. We're used to a wait time so we just let the garage do their thing. We're waiting for a text, a call, a check-in anything. It gets to be close to their closing time, so we call and check to see what's up. The lady tells me "we didn't even know your car was there." Mistakes absolutely happen and appointments sometimes fall through the cracks... but rather than just own up to their mistake, they start lecturing us on how it's up to us to come in physically to the store when we drop it off, and tell them the car is there... I don't really understand how customers can come in at 7 am and let the business know anything when they don't even open until 8... It could have been as simple as the woman owning up to a simple mistake, but she ended up saying "I'm at a desk, how do you expect me to know what cars are out there? -_- She decided to drag it out and put the blame fully on us. Highly unprofessional behavior and EXTREMELY disappointing.

Excellent service. My daughter who is a UB student was having some car troubles. They got her in same day and took care of things. they called to keep me informed and were professional, friendly and helped calm this mom nerves. They also did Excellent work on her car. Thanks so much!!

Reason for going: Cigarette lighter wasn’t working. This was very important to fix while traveling on the road and having to rely only on a portable battery charger. First attempt callingToyota dealership: $354 for diagnostic, $110 for labor, $55 for the part. “Can I apply diagnostic charge to the rest of the cost? Toyota: no. Sweeney‘s auto: “ Your fuses were in the wrong place. $46.” I also had an additional cigarette lighter that was pointed out and didn’t know I had. Sweeney’s Auto is an honest and very efficient garage and it’s been there since 1948. Justin was incredibly nice. A welcoming place. I booked an appointment. I was only there for about 40 minutes.
