I had a tire blowout on the 290 just after the Colvin exit. A 2 inch gash in the sidewall of the passenger rear tire. Managed to get to the Delaware exit where I quickly changed the tire to a donut. I made my way over to Military and discovered this shop while I was at work a couple blocks away. I originally stopped in at the shop across the street, but it was closed during their business hours, so I went to Hodge right across the street sfter another quick google search. The Cosmo Kramer (from Seinfeld) poster behind the main desk was a classic find. They said they'd try to find a used tire for my car that day, so I gave them the bad tire on its rim and went back to work. They didn't call as they said (it was a handwritten note, so i thought it may have been a bad number), but I called back around 3pm, and stopped in for around 10 minutes while a mechanic changed out the tire. Nice shop. Friendly people. And when asked about the poster, the guy said his boss looks like Kramer and they're all Seinfeld fans. ...that works for me, and I'll drop in when I need some service during work again. The used tire has been solid for the last week.

I had my son's car towed to Hodge Automotive, they were excellent, they fixed the car the same day. Kerry was so helpful and informative. I highly recommend this garage.

I took the car in for breaks. I was told it would be ready soon. I did not get my vehicle back for a week. They did not have the proper equipment to do the job so they had to drive it to a dealer to use computers to program it. They charged me 900.00 more than what a dealer would have charged me. The father was a good guy but the sons not so much. Total rip off avoid!

Took my car there for an inspection and they called me to tell me that my brakes were shot and it would cost $500 to fix them. I politely said that I wasn't interested and would come pick up my car and the receptionist was very rude. She told me that no matter where I take it it won't pass and tried to pressure me into having them done there. My fiance knows cars and can do brakes for around $150 in parts and they had told me $500 and it could be done in about 2 hours. So if labor is around $80 that's $160.... they want $340 for parts? That's nuts! I went to pick up my car and the receptionist wasn't very friendly then either. I only gave them two stars because my fiance had something done there and he was happy with it. My experience wasn't so great.

Carey is an honest, intelligent, friendly, and excellent mechanic. He has been able to diagnose my vehicles when others were unable. He only fixes what is needed and explains exactly what is needed and how much it will cost before it is fixed. My family and I highly recommended Hodge Automotive.
