Bucholtz Transmission

I am a older female that know nothing about car repairs. I had a transmission problem that I knew it was going to cost $$$ to fix. I contacted Bucholtz Transmission at 2760 Sheridan Dr.and talked to Jeff. he knew exactly what the problem was, and We were able to solve the issue. I talked to other highly recommend transmission shops that only talked about $$$. Jeff is a honest and caring person. I feel like Jeff is the only one that I'll trust with my car from now on. I brought my F-150 in and had a fantastic experience. The team was super knowledgeable, honest, and really helped me save both time and money. Jeff especially stood out, he was friendly, professional, and made sure everything was taken care of the right way. It’s not every day you find a shop you can truly trust, but this place definitely earns it. Highly recommend!

Brought my Ford Escape in with a ‘mystery noise’ under the passenger front right side. I thought it may have been the tranny or trans-axel and was prepared for a nasty repair bill. Despite being very busy, one of the guys jumped right behind the wheel and took it for a spin and put me quickly at ease with the knowledge that it most likely nothing gearbox related with the promise that they would figure it out. Within a week, Bucholtz had figured it out that it was a cracked motor mount and had it fixed. I’m very impressed because that’s not a quick or easy diagnosis or repair. They gave a very fair price on the work and didn’t charge a diagnostic fee. I’ve put 100+ miles on it since picking it up and it runs like a top. In short, they have gained a lifetime customer with my family and me. I should have never waisted time and precious money anywhere else. Bucholtz is no nonsense and honest. I’ve since recommended them to multiple co-workers, including my boss. I can’t think of a better compliment than that. Excellent work guys, thank you!

Last year I took my car to bucholtz, they had my car for 6 weeks, minimal communication, they rebuilt my transmission. Call that what it is. Fast forward to now, the transmission blew, (they keep zero records btw, they told my regular mechanic they needed an exact date to look it up, luckily I had my receipt with all the information including the fact that this was covered under warranty because it had been less than a full year.) They’ve now had my car again for 3.5 weeks with ZERO communication. I called them about a week and a half ago, the guy says “oh yeah we’re looking at that today” a week and a half goes by I still haven’t heard anything so I called back. This guy was so condescending, he tells me they have it on schedule to hopefully be looked at by the end of the week. Tells me there were 30 cars here when my car got brought in. Every time I tried to talk he would talk over me. Finally I said how inconvenient this whole experience has been, I have 5 kids who depend on my vehicle, and he chuckled at me, completely not taking it seriously that they have caused this inconvenience. Then I tell him that I’ve had zero communication and he says “you could’ve called here to find out” I said “I did and no one called me back like they said they would” Don’t know if it’s because I’m a female but these guys are jerks. Once my car is out of there I will NEVER take it back there again even if I have to pay out of pocket somewhere else. If I could’ve given them zero stars I would’ve but google made me put one.

Was told to take my car here by 3 different people, & that was probably one of the best decisions I have made all year. Great communication skills from all the workers here, they always answer the phone, extremely honest & won’t bs you or try to sell you extra jobs, & they actually CARE! Would highly recommend to everyone I know :))
