Pep Boys Auto Service & Tires

If there were zero stars or negative stars that’s how I would rate the service. I was quoted $255 including tax for two new tires. When I got there the manager who quoted the amount was not around and would be back in two minutes. Two minutes turned into no show at least a half hour later. But he did text the associate back after the associate supposedly left a message. The texting lasted until he didn’t text back a solution to my problem. I ultimately paid the additional money but will be disputing with the credit card company. On my way out I told some guy not to go in and he said it’s too late he already had his inspection. But he’s not happy with them either because he was told he needs three new rotors and he had just changed two of them himself so he knew he was getting scammed too. Do not go here even if you are desperate!!!

Great and quick service. Aldelfo was extremely helpful and his communication is A+. He is honest and trustworthy. You won't regret coming here for all your car care needs. I'll be back, hopefully not too soon though 🙂

Came for an oil change and was told, they were too backed up to take me. Decided to call the location in Port Jeff and advised I was 15 minutes away. I asked about the wait time and was told no wait time and to come. Show up and was told it would be an hour wait because now someone is getting 4 tires. Convenient. Went to jiffy lube and was in and out in 10 minutes. Save yourself the aggravation. I get things happen, but damn.

I would not recommend this place. I went in there my tires were a little low and the light went on, so they fixed that. At the time My door was not locking so I was told that I would need to spend $60 on an Electrical evaluation to see what was wrong with the door. They told me it was a door lock actuator that needed to be replaced to the tune of $800 by the time I was done. I declined and thank God I did. Today my door works fine. It was clearly the fob or some electrical short, but definitely not the door lock actuator. If it was, it still wouldn’t be working. I would not trust this place for any kind of diagnosis or repair you will get ripped off. I’m glad I declined. They should give me my $60 back for the shitty diagnosis they gave me how ridiculous. This is clearly a cheap fix that they were trying to make an expensive fix from me. A bunch of ripoff artists.

I made an appointment for an inspection. When I arrived, they took my keys, checked my mileage and that I had no check engine light, and told me to take a seat to wait. After more than an hour of waiting when I asked for progress, I was informed that the employee who usually does inspections was not there. They had no intention of telling me that no work was being done. None of the other employees are apparently able to do inspections. They did not offer any solution other than to continue waiting. What was the point of an appointment? Why would anyone go to this Pep Boys? I know that I will never come back. I would give 0 stars if I could.
