I made an appointment online for Saturday at Mr.Tire on Genesee St and followed up with a call to ensure the toes were on site, which they were not. The manager said he would order them from the warehouse and rescheduled for Tuesday. I called to reschedule for Thursday (tires were not on site), showed up Thursday and Torre’s still not there. Manager mentioned something about an email saying they were delayed due to holiday but I never received one. He said he would call me that afternoon or the following morning as soon as my tires arrived. At 10:30 Friday morning I finally called and was told they were there and I could come in and have first priority. My car was taken in shortly after I arrived at 1:00. When I tried to check out (which wasn’t working) I was finally told I had been given false information when told I could type the credit card number in manually. I ended up having to talk my 80 year old mother through a cash advance and transfer of funds over the phone because she’s in a different state and then left standing there while the counter person and manager continued to help other customers at the register next to me without saying a word to me. I was there for three hours total and over an hour of that was trying to check out. The people are very nice but communication, customer service, and organization are severely lacking. No one went over my service with me, I had to call someone out to clear the maintenance light and it’s a good thing I’m already aware the tires need to be tightened again in a week because I wasn’t given any instruction at all.

Excellent Service! I went into the Mr. Tire shop because a nys inspection site had failed my car for a "broken" hand brake. I also had noises that I thought was a hole in my exhsust system but neither the Chevrolet Dealer or the nys inspection site had said anything about my exhaust system when they did worked on my car. The Mr. Tire store Manager & mechanic agreed to fix the hand brake. (NOTE: I did not have my Chevtolet Traverse with 110,000 miles brought to this Mr. Tire shop for inspection because they were in the process of filling that position and my inspection was past due) Besides checking the handbrake Store Manager must have told the mechanic to check the car over. Serious front end steering and wheel problems were found. They quoted me an understandable price. Checked the rest of my car for soundness which allowed me to make a sound decision whether to repair or buy new. I chose Repair because what they told me made sense. After the repair, as I drove out, I could not believe how quiet and smooth my car drove. FYI...I had been hearing noises from my car for 4 months during which BOTH my Chev dealer and a NYS registration inspection center had missed these major problems. Without the Mr.Tire Store Manager, Jesse Belcher's care to detail and his experience, plus the skilled mechanics, Gio and others, I would have eventually been in a serious, possibly fatal accident. I finally have peace of mind when driving! Thank You Jesse Belcher!
View on GoogleI’ve been bringing my car here for years. The guys that work here are excellent but I’ve witnessed corporate screw them over A LOT. If you’re reading this, know that if you make an appt by phone or online, that is through CORPORATE and the people at the shop are never told about these appointments (which is clear from all the other reviews sharing that EXACT experience). They also clearly could use a few more people on deck- again a higher level issue where I place no blame on the crew in-store. I’d still recommend this shop because the actual guys doing the work are excellent- just know that they sometimes have a longer turnaround because of the corporate issues I mentioned above. I’ve gotten fluid flushed and replaced, tires done, oil changed, inspections, etc. All done with honestly and care!
View on GoogleGiving bad news clearly is important but unappreciated. I hoped my flat tire was not going to mandate buying 4 new wheels even though I had hoped it wouldn't come to that. The people here warned me that that was likely, gave me accurate cost assessments up front, and even gave me a small discount for my situation. No one likes to get a $900 bill but sometimes you need to do the work and the staff handled my issue as best one could reasonably expect.
View on GoogleI took my car to 528 West Genesee St. in Syracuse, New York to get an oil change and a tire plug. When I left the location, my oil pan shield was not put back on correctly. They left some screws out of the shield. And it was hanging so when I went over a speed bump, it made a scrape. I didn’t pay too much attention to it because there were workers, and I thought that sound came from their work. I had to get on the road later on that night and as soon as I got on the highway, I heard the scraping again. When I got underneath the vehicle, the oil pan shield was hanging. I was able to do a quick fix and tie it so that I could continue driving. When I brought the car back to the location for it to be fixed, they advised that it was not their fault I was lying. I hit something and it was pulled off. My car is a brand new car. I get frequent oil changes and that has never happened before now. All of a sudden my oil pan shield fell off after you did my oil change. The assistant manager was rude and disrespectful and told me flat out that he was not fixing or that location was not fixing my vehicle that they messed up. I will never recommend anyone go there if they can’t do a simple oil change imagine what they will do for something that needs to be replaced that’s big . I will never bring my car back.
